  1. It's great that Bandai is offering the Moonlight Butterfly effect part, but to do it as an online exclusive is a huge disservice to fans. Instead, they should just package it all in together. Hell, take it one step further and give us a new MG Turn A to compliment the upcoming MG Turn A.

    1. There's nothing wrong with the older MG Turn A Gundam. Solid and unique construction not found in any other kit with white color seperation and plenty of surface detail that rivals the newer MG Nu and Sazabi ver ka kits.

    2. OP: Shut up Suiton.

    3. I think you mean to compliment the upcoming Turn X. I have to second the opinion that the existing MG Turn A Gundam is perfect. It is one of the few MG kits ever made that I really don't think there is ANY room for improvement on.

It is rather odd that the add-on part actually costs more than the kit.

    4. This is a big disservice to fans indeed. Just like the Crossbone Gundam Master Grades being exclusive.

  2. Seriously, these things should sell with the kits by default. It would make Turn A sell even more, if people are turn off by its moustache at first.

    2. I can understand being put off by a design but if you haven't seen the series then don't judge a book by it's cover. Also if you don't care for the design, what does it matter to you whether they include fancy wing effect parts or not. It's also funny how people seem to think they understand business sense just from knowing simple terms like profit, supply and demand. It's not enough just to know basics like those terms to suddenly claim to know how successful a company is. Until you've studied business and worked in the field, can you judge and understand where a company stands and their business decisions. Until then stop making baseless assumptions. There is a treasure trove of material in the Gundam franchise that Bandai and Sunrise has yet to tap into. Bandai was do fine before they even had Gundam Unicorn kits to produce. I didn't know you can tell the future. How do you know how successful GBF will be. It's because of this series that we are getting kits all the HG lead Gundams and possibly further suits from their respective universes. We finally have the MG Gundam X thanks to GBF and Bandai have been releasing more kits per month recently than they have in the past. Sunrise also has a new Gundam series to announce whether that is Origins or not remains to be seen. So there is still alot for us to look forward to in the future and Bandai and Sunrise seem to be only getting started.

    5. I agree that Bandai still has a lot of existing material to pull from. On top of that they can always release version 3, 4, 5, etc. of their existing kits.

I think the reason they are able to crank out more kits per year is because of doing it all in CAD. The turn around has got to be a lot faster than the old methods.

I do question the need to go further with new animated series. I think Age proved that there is only so many ways you can repackage the traditional Gundam plot. I think they would be better off focusing on making interesting side stories in the existing canons rather than trying to build a whole new world for a whole new series yet again. What's next Spacenators, Coordinoids, Innovatypes, Moontaters? I think a better approach is something like Unicorn where they have an excuse to upgrade old designs to make them more palatable like the Zogok, Driessen, etc.

GBF makes perfect business sense because they are able to resell old molds with a few add ons. Minimal R&D costs.

    6. Suiton, if you don't like the road the Gundam franchise is currently taking, just quit being a Gundam fan. It will be a relief to us fans and to the franchise itself to be finally free of your trolling. We, as true Gundam fans, doesn't give up on the franchise itself.

    2. The Turn A is an acquired taste. At first I hated it. Now it is one of my favorite designs. I had a similar experience with the Acguy. At first I thought the Acguy was the ugliest design in all Gundam and now it is one of my top 5 favorites.

On the flip side I used to love the F-91 and RX-F91 designs. Now they just look overly busy and cheesy.

Then there are designs like the Sazabi and Nu Gundam which I have ALWAYS loved.

As far as the other Turn A designs I have liked, and continue to like, the SUMO. I like their interpretation of the Capule/Kapool.

I did watch the whole Turn A anime and it is one of my most favorite Gundam series.

    2. Jason,
suiton is a troll who spreads his plage not only in Gundam Guy but also in Gundam related topics in youtube, animesuki, etc.
We're not really giving him attention, we're calling him out of his trollish actions (the attention he got from us calling him out is a side effect since we must mention his name to...call him out). which are somewhat effective in stopping him temporarily.
