  3. Anyone notice that the leg proportions have been fixed? I always hated the Manga images because they were too skinny. These don't look half bad.

    1. 1. The head isn't Seed style. It more closely resembles the RX-78-2 than anything.
      2. It's not an alternate universe. It takes place in a wreckage in side 4, where the pieces of a colony are still electrified. This causes the electricity to jump between pieces of rubble. Thus the name "Thunderbolt." It's also used as a supply route for A Baoa Qu. It's a side story, not alternate universe.

    1. To me, it says "Remove my other parts and put them in other kits."

Imma make a Half-armor gundam TH and give that backpack to someone else

  6. What is this "Thunderbolt version" thing anyway?? Was this from a special novel or a game?

    1. its the one of the best selling gundam mangas for a long time, when vol 1 went on sale it sold out in a few hours and thousands of additional copies had to be put into production to fill the demand & vol 2 sold over 90,000 units in the first month or so vs 30,000 units for the likes of crossbone. So yes its huge.

      Manga sales:

    2. I see..
The designs never appeal to me so I didn't bother.

I suppose the story is good?
Got to read it some time.

      Thanks for the reply :)

  8. Is it just me or do the designs from thunderbolt seem a bit out of place/over the top in UC? Can anyone tell me the premise? the wiki isn't very helpful...

    1. If that ugly ass backpack were on any kit from SEED, UC butt boys would have filled the post with messages about how fugly these designs are.

  9. Why can't we have a Custer fuck Gundam? Spams shit ton of missiles.

  10. "Look Ma, no hands"
And about the design, it's purpose is to operate in an area filled with electric interference. Hence the name "Thunderbolt".

  11. The thing i fear about these thunderbolt kits are the amount of stickers/painting that may be required to make it look right...

  14. I like the body design and the head reminds me of Hi Nu, but the weapons system is a bit too busy for me.

  15. Wasnt too into it at first but now Im getting one.
thinking of either giving it the FA-78-1 colors or the Heavy Gundam colors

  16. What are the shields on the wimpy string like arms supposed to block? Ping-pong Balls?
