  4. While I wouldn't say accurate (They are still using that awful beam rifle from the MG Hi Nu, This certainly is the best Hi Nu released by Bandai in recent years.

    1. I think they just recycled the regular RD Nu Gundam rifle with maybe a few extra pieces.

    1. It's skinny, and doesn't look as manacing as the original design.

    3. I wish Bandai had release the original desgin of the Hi Nu for the MG, I mean don't get me wrong I like the slim down version but the original bulkier version looks a lot more menacing

  7. Are Robot Damashii limited release? I definitely have to pick this up after seeing its proportions, best combination of Hi-Nu's updated design but still keeping its original 'girth'

    2. Yeah sure, except that this design predates the freedom by 14 years.

    4. @Gundarium It's actually the other way around. Freedom and Strike Freedom were inspired by this design. As Anon 12:36 said, it predated any Gundam SEED related art by 14 years. It appeared in Yoshiyuki Tomino's novelization of Char's Counterattack: Beltorchika's Children (pretty good novel too) as the "completed" version of the Nu Gundam. There are also several other non-UC suits that were taken from the Hi-Nu design like the Reborns Gundam (coincidentally its pilot was voiced by the same guy who voiced Amuro Ray).

  13. Still not quite the original, as the color patters are still like the 'updated' one. For example, the easiest thing to see are the funnels: they should just have 2 alternating stripes of purple on the sides instead of being wholly colored; etc. But anyway, it's just like the combination of the original's body patter to the mg's/hguc's updated color patter.
