    4. That's easy, just put your into your cabinet and see if your head is stuck or not. Normal plamo kits shouldn't be bigger than your head

  8. Are anyone surprised ? =_=

The Head !!! after more than 20 year even katoki studio could not fix the head proportions ( for those who does not know, in the anime, char's cockpit is located in the head )

Had already the old MG Sazabi, ν, ν ver. Ka. Hi-ν & Sinanju ver. Ka. all of them in the shelf: thanks, but not, thanks =)

    1. your baseless assumptions about the head proportions being wrong are coming from only a picture and not even a actual build of this guy.....seems legit.

    3. Thank you @7:27 PM

@3:14AM You are completely sure "that" is the Sazabi's real scale?! ( looking at Mazinger Z XD )

Thank both of you guys, this user had the old one, and loved it, really appreciated

      Delete
    4. The scene showing Sazabi's cockpit pod before Char launched was an animation error based early sazabi design sketch. The scale was somewhat corrected in later scenes in CCA.

  10. glad im not buying the sms sazabi conversion kit..
now this sazabi ver.ka will release..
look at the dummy on the stand.. the kit so huge it makes the stand looks small..

    ReplyDelete
  11. Instead of Ver Ka or 3.0, I'd rather see difference UC era MS getting much deserved a MG kit. Even a retooled kit would be nice. It's not that difficult to make Cima's Gelgoog Marine from Gelgoog 2.0 or Zuku III from Zaku 2.0 or Gouf Flight Type from Gouf B3. Just my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I'm actually surprised an MG of the Zaku III has not come out. Japan loves Zakus (and their variants). Maybe there isn't enough of a Gundam ZZ market to justify making an MG of the Zaku III.

      Delete
    2. M with you anon 10:57. But if they ever made the flight gouf I would prefer if they made a new gouf custom and used that as the base. Also Id like to see a zaku kai and gelgoog Jager. And if the ever did the marine type we all know cima's would be a online exclusive.

      Delete
    3. To @10:52 PM

Retooling? Sorry, not going to happened ( bean sabers from 2004, MG Rx-78-2 3.0 using part of 2.0 from 2008, Sazabi Ver. Ka using parts of 2000, you name it )

      To @MechaMan

+1 indeed, too weird the Zaku 3.0 yet to come ( for some reasonable problems, perhaps ) maybe we will get one soon before december ( praying )

      To @6:39 AM

      Bandai online exclusives?

      Delete
    4. He mean using the existing frame but retool the outer armors parts. Like how MG Zuku 2.0 was developed into Gouf 2.0, Marasai, and Geara Doga. Bandai already have molds for outer armor for HGUC kits for say Gelgoog Marine, Gouf flight type etc. And B-Club had resin conversation kit for Gelgoog Marine etc. You can't stop people from just wishing.

      Delete
    5. You know very well that OYW 0079 Zeon suits are the majority of the Non EFSF MG kits, we still have yet to see AXIS or Titans suits other than Qubeley and Hizacks get MG treatment.

Also, the big question always is "Will these suits reap in profits as MGs or HGs?"

      Delete
    6. On the note of other Mobile Suits deserving at least a 2.0 MG, what about the Guncannon and Hyaku Shiki to name a couple. Those two need a 2.0 pretty bad too, right?

    2. bitch please we're talking about the sazabi here, and is a Ver. Ka. The Nu Ver. Ka is pretty awesome, This kit would probably be as awesome or better, unlike the The-O in which you're like paying more but getting less.
pretty sure this kit will be worth the buy no matter how much this thing will cost, and I'm sure bandai will give a very reasonable price.

      Delete
    3. +1 there. The-O was underwhelming and confident too with the assumption that sazabi should be a match with last year's nu ver ka. that said, the former came out at around, 12000Y I guess? wonder if this is the price point we're looking at for szabi.

      Delete
    4. I do hope that the price would be less than 8.5k yen, yet again, this price assumption wasn't based on anything and is just wishful thinking

A lot of hate and we have not seen a actual prototype of this guy yet. Good to know its coming this December gonna be a fun new years. Just saying wait a bit then judge.

Besides I have a list of them I still need to get.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm so excited for this! I didn't want to waste my money on the old master grade. Hopefully the proportions will be better than the older one especially the torso. And hopefully the design will be true to the anime but have that updated look but not be too "Katoki"

    ReplyDelete
  29. hopefully comes with the zeon stand... SEIG ZEON!!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I second that. Not just a Zeon stand but one in the form of Char's emblem. So far only Amuro has a custom stand based on his emblem. Char deserves his own too, since he's just as iconic if not more than Amuro.

      Delete
    2. I will take a stand or just buy Char's display stand, like I did for FA Unicorn and MG Sinanju OVA (their respective ones).

Though Char and the Sazabi do need one of their own and Char's emblem. Doubt we get one though. Gonna be building and painting my MG Geara Doga custom colors.

      Delete
  30. I guess no one's gonna comment (before me) on how this post is updated with essentially the same picture over and over again....

    ReplyDelete
  31. finally...give me a good actual prototype model to see to its more awesomeness ^__^ gonna display it with my nu ver ka or sinanju ova XD

    ReplyDelete
  32. 9000 Yen. Well... looks like I'm going to wait for this one a bit later.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm more game for a MG release of a Gundam Delta Kai or V2

All these refined or newer versions are getting boring and somewhat predictable like the MG Gundam Ver 3.0, which would make any of you ponder over will there be more refined versions in future, or turn you into a FOOL for not thinking in long terms

Sheesh, Bandai really should start investing for the future and possibly working towards to get licenses to produce toys or plamos for other mecha titles like Macross Plus & 7 ( due to the success of VF-1 & VF-25) Virtual On titles (another Katoki's masterpiece) and SRW OG mechs

Keep on going in circles around just cannot open to newer markets and possibilities. And yet some idiots here are complaining about Suiton's wishlists when they too have the same desires for newer things...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. would love an VF-0 + reactive armor parts

      Delete
    2. Kotobukiya already made SRW OG kit.

      Delete
    3. KOTOBUKIYA STINKS, they can't even make the R series combine into SRX

BANDAI should take over SRW OG kits, it's their product anyway

      Delete
    4. Kotobukiya mecha kits have great proportions, I'll give them that. Over time the joints on those mecha kits are a nightmare after about 3 months, and that's being gentle with it.

      Delete
  34. New Images? All I saw was the same picture, only clearer.

    ReplyDelete
  35. 7.2 k yen on hlj! think its reasonable considering it is mawfuckin sazabi

    ReplyDelete
  36. With all those gaps in the armor, what are the chances this kit will be "retcon-ed" with full boday psychoframe like nu ver.ka?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Full body? Doubt it, but pieces spread around the frame? Definitely.

      Delete
  37. Do we know for sure if it will have the internal psycho frame retrocon that the Nu Ver Ka had?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. unless it says so in the japanese text, the answer is no. however given the track record of the nu, it's not that hard to imagine this kit having that gimmick.

      Delete
    2. When nu ver.ka was first announced, it did not mention the full psychoframe gimmick either.

I just hate it that because Unicorn is a popular UC fan service, every old NT-use MS are suddenly having psychoframe everywhere. I am eagerly waiting for Qubeley ver.ka, The-O ker.ka and Zeta ver.ka. All glowing so someone can reenact the scene from MSZ.

      Delete
    3. @Anon 8:28

I understand what you mean. However, rest assured that Quebley, The O, and the Zeta would not have the gimmick because the Psyoframe was only invented around the time of CCA.

      The suits after that...well.

      Delete
    4. Question answered. It does have a green internal psycoframe. One of many nice things about the Sazabi in comparison to the Nu Gundam is that there are absolutely no problems mounting the funnels which was the bane of the Nu Gundam ver Ka kit. This is a must have!

      Delete
    5. Great news then! The Sazabi has a lot of things going for it in looks. Unfortunately it lacks a heavy weapon, like a bazooka, to really round out its armaments. What about expropriating the Sinanju's rocket bazooka? would that be too advanced tech for the time or too out of date?

@Jason: Agreeably, the Nu's fin funnels were a problem but there are now numerous fixes on the net including this simple one: http://randomizedloot.wordpress.com/2013/06/19/mg-nu-gundam-fin-funnel-fix/

      Delete
  38. Katoki is ruining my Gundam childhood like Michael Bay ruined my Transformers childhood.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Is it just me or did they get the head proportions just right this time?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. How? If anything, the head is even smaller than the current MG.

      http://images.wikia.com/gundam/images/c/ce/Sazabi-gff.jpg

      Delete
    2. The first sazabi MG as a drawing is fine. Bandai F-ed up the actual model so it looks off and unproportional. The new ver ka sazabi line art is a bit exaggerated proportionally, but factoring Bandai to drop the ball again on translating it to 3d model the end result may be just right.

      Delete
    3. @anon 11:42 - Not really sure, maybe because that was the first thing I examined in the image. But it definitely looks sharper than the original.

      Delete
  40. foil sticker x3?? i hope that doesn't mean three sheets.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lol what, that's worse than the 1/144 Kestrel that comes with the hobby magazine.

      Delete
    2. it probably means 1 sheet foils, 1 sheet of water slides and 1 sheet of red shading sticker ala nu ver ka for those who don't paint their kits..

      Delete
  41. I hope that this kit comes with a special Char Aznable actionbase like what they did with the Nu Ver. Ka.
still wondering since they didn't mention anything about it in the accessories.

AND I FUCKING HOPE that if ever there's a char actionbase, it wouldn't be a separate buy and worse, online exclusive.
because I'm fucking sure that the LED unit on this kit will be sold separately. DAMN I HOPE I'M WRONG ON THAT ONE

    ReplyDelete
  42. This kit probably has a new mono-eye/zeonic fully articulated manipulators.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I wonder what other weapons mean? The only thing they omitted from Sazabi's weapons are the grenade/mini-missiles on the shield. Unless, that was a mistranslation, I hope they do include another weapon or weapons. Regardless, I'm stealing my sinanju's rocket bazookas in order to beef up this kit. Its surprisingly under-armed compared to the Nu.

As for the foil stickers, it might be like the Nu's. The first will be the ordinary ones, decent in quality but completely unnecessary. The second set will most likely be the Katoki decals, and the third might be those silver stickers for beneath the psychoframe. XD

    ReplyDelete
  44. 9000 Yen....that's probably my only concern with regards to this upcoming kit:D

    ReplyDelete
  45. 31 plates?? Mother of God

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'd wait for a translation that isn't by Google Translate before getting too worked up...

  48. Last year they followed up MG Nu Ver Ka with Sinanju stein Ver Ka, I wonder what kit follows the MG Sazabi.

Half of me wants MG Kshatriya ver ka but Half of me doesn't because of my damn wallet.

the kit thet'll preceed this will be most probably a Zeon/mono eye suit just to use them new zeon manipulators.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. OOHH both Jagd Dogas hmmm would it be a Ver Ka?
anything but the kshatriya, the Kshatriya can wait for another year xD

      Delete
    2. As long as they're not online exclusives...

(Baseless speculation) I wonder if Kshatriya is even on the table? I guess it depends on how well this is received. After The-O, I'm surprised they're gambling on another huge kit like this. Also note how the PG line has been in dead for several years. MG Kshatriya would be awesome, but I'm not holding my breath...

I hate to say it, but once Build Fighters starts we're going to see a lot of cheap variations and re-colors of pre-existing kits, and not as many truly new ones. It's funny because a TV series about a "golden age of Gunpla" could actually turn out to be really bad for Gunpla overall, sending it into a dark age devoid of any innovation. I hope the RG line will be able to pick up the slack, since the HG and MG series will be saturated with re-releases for a while. We saw some Zeon RG designs a few hobby shows ago, but haven't heard anything about them since then, so I hope they're still being considered. The next year will be very interesting for Gunpla, but I'm fearing the worst. Appreciate the really cool stuff like Proto 0 and Sazabi while you can...

      Delete
    3. well, after the Nu Ver Ka, they announced the MG Sinanju Stein Ver. Ka, which was very unexpected. Now I'm wondering what kit Bandai would release at January or February 2014. One thing I know is that I have no Idea what it would be based on the Nu - Stein pattern.
But I'm pretty sure that it will be a Zeon / Monoeye kit.

    1. I wonder what parts they could carry over from the 2000 kit. So many things seem like they would have to be new. I hope they update the funnels but I wouldn't be surprised if they just use the old ones on the new kit. Those are the only things that look like they could be recycled.

      Delete
    2. yeah, they did recycled the former mg sazabi polycaps..

      Delete
  50. What are these new "Zeon manipulators" that people keep talking about? I haven't heard of that.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That is only a prediction that is most likely to happen in this kit since they also introduced new articulated Gundam/EFSF manipulators in the Nu Ver. Ka

      Delete
  51. It is interesting how much the prototype strays from the lineart and the CGI picture. The biggest thing that is sticking out to me right now is the leg skirts. They don't seem to flare out at all like they do in the line art. They almost look more like Dom leg skirts. I think that is what is making the proportions look off.

  52. Greetings everyone, I'm from Venezuela and I made my mind and decided to start building gunpla, right now I'm traveling through USA, a tri-state course between California, Nevada, Utah and the way back; so I would like to know where can I buy model kits, I'm in North Provo, Utah, and I'll be going back through Las Vegas and finishing in Los Angeles, so I'll be really interested if someone could kindly give me info about places where I can buy the model kits in those places, thank you very much for any kind of recommendation

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Congrats new Gunpla Builder. Unfortunately since Bandai has stopped selling gunpla in North America for the most part, your only choice for getting newer kits is ordering online. If there's a local hobby store in Provo then you might get lucky and pick up a older kit, say an old High grade from the late 2000s. You will have a better shot at Gunpla in La I would think. Find local hobby stores see if they have or have heard of Gunpla. Tell them it's your first time building, and they might give you some recommended tools to start out with

      Delete
    2. "Unfortunately since Bandai has stopped selling gunpla in North America for the most part, your only choice for getting newer kits is ordering online." well you guys only have yourselfs to blame, my advice, keep hating age and bf, like you guys did with gundam seed...

    3. Yeah, I looked in Provo and the most newer kit they had was MG EW Deathscythe and HG Quanta, I have searched on Google maps and internet, and my best shot is in LA

  53. I'd really love to see this standing beside The O... XD

ah but what can I do... my wallet's been drained for months now... :3

    ReplyDelete
  54. Anyone noticed that Sazabi has markings S01 while Sinanju has markings 105(or S)? The numbers/letters seemed flipped.

    ReplyDelete
  55. They could widen the hips a lil bit so the legs spread wider,

    ReplyDelete
  56. I really wonder if my current action base will be able to hold this heavyweight monster...

Also I hope the posing option isn't too limited. After all, I was dying to recreate the movie scenes after I completed my MG Nu Ver. Ka.

    ReplyDelete
  57. so based on that new color pic, is that 2 or 3 shades of red on the body??

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Based on what they gave us in the MG Nu Ver Ka, I assume that the third shade of red will be given only as stickers, same as what they did on nu ver ka's color separation.

  58. Why do they still have the tanks way out of proportion? They are way too long!

  60. adding to the collective squeals of fanboys...waaaaahhhhhhh.....

    ReplyDelete
  61. The contrast between the pink and the red doesn't sit right with me imo. I think they should have gone with a darker shade of red instead of the pink... And also, no white propellant tanks? :(

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. While, I agree with your opinion on the red/pink shade, the Sazabi's tanks were originally black. You can always swap them or paint it.

  63. You ppl really need to grow up a little. Must you swear like little children to prove your point? You're acting like the OP. Why stoop to his level?
Can you not speak intelligently to counter the OP?
Come on now. Use those brains.
While I agree that this kit is amazing the OP has a right not to like it even though we all think he is wrong.
I dont see how it is ugly. Maybe you can elaborate on that?
I agree with some of you. Hes just trolling. So ignore him?

  64. are the clear parts / beam axes/ sabers supposed to be green? I thought it's supposed to be yellow....

    1. No they are supposed to be yellow

    2. Just watched the CCA Sazabi scenes just to be sure, and yes, the beam effect parts are supposed to be that yellow-green colour that the Marasai, Quebley and Hyaku Shiki use.

      Delete
    3. uhh, marasai, qubeley and hyaku shiki has yellow beam sabers. unless you're color-blind
what justified that is the fact that the late kits, specially marasai, which was just released last year, was provided with yellow beam sabers. another is that the HGUC and Robot Damashii Sazabi have been both provided with yellow beam effect parts. same goes as well with HGUC/MG Hyaku shiki and Qubeley. which makes the "yellow" the canonical color for their beams, as for the animation, the series(Zeta) and CCA are both old and has many animation errors / inaccuracies (beam saber colors and MS proportions) so you can't rely on those infos.
This is the kit that also has the right proportion for Sazabi's cockpit, and is far from what the animation depicted.

    4. Sorry about that; it's just that the colour reminds me of Mountain Dew for some reason.

  67. At this stage I'm starting to doubt that there is a psyco-frame gimmick. People keep insisting there will be one and they haven't revealed it yet, but it seems too far along now.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. yeah, I also think this won't have the psycho frame gimmick, since the PF gimmick for Nu ver ka was for imitating the same light green-effect that happened in the axis shock, so it's ok i guess.
what I am worried about that this kit won't have a "Char's custom action base" same as what they did to nu ver ka.

    1. Although Katoki wants to make the Sazabi closer to the Sinanju (like how he added the green frames in the Nu to make it closer to Unicorn), I just can't handle the change. Other things are good but I think the tomahawk should remain the same.

      Delete
    2. and i think the tomahawk should be fucking yellow, all the late sazabi figures and kits have yelow tomahawks, then suddenly this? The old MG sazabi had green beams but, c'mon, thats old.

      Delete
    3. The Neo-zeon beams are actually yellow with a little green kinda stuff inside I don't know how to say but those are actually pretty accurate.

"Sad that the waist-leg connection is a balljoint", "The tomahawk effect parts should be clear yellow instead of clear green, ahh I can't handle those small changes even though this is a ver ka kit, therefore it will be different then the original", Gee wiz people. Just get the 1.0 Sazabi or don't get this kit at all.

  74. The beam effect parts look identical to the ones in the sinanju people, so if you dont like the green then just use the sinanju's effects its that simple.
