And Bandai's creativity just gone down the drain.

      1. Are you implying that only one person at bandai makes every design or something, and that one design that isn't that great is reflective of everything? Suddenly, one design makes Ebikawa, Okawara, Katoki, and many of those suddenly void?
      2. Have you not seen Seed Vs Astray, etc? These were much worse than the lackluster build-fighters things.

    2. Well, the chest parts look significantly different from old Mk II so I'm ok with this.

Even though i'm agree with you, there's something i have to object.
Actually, most of unit design from Seed vs Astray is way more better than some of newer design, mainly some unit from Build Fighter.

    4. Just let them grow with you. Not all design can be accepted so quickly, especially for re-designed type like this one.

    5. I don't think Build fighter units are supposed to look that different from their old counterparts. They're plamo customizations, by in-show fans.

    6. Alester. You seem to struggle to grasp the concept that this series and its designs are based around the customisation of EXISTING gundam model designs.

    7. People have opinions on series. The series's mecha design is a bit Copy-Paste with Backpack Syndrome written over it. It's not really bad, but it's that Bandai is not totally being creative on this series.

    8. Well, I'd much rather have new designs rather than these "altered" designs, but I can see why they'd do this. They're trying to introduce new people to Gundam, so they don't have to spend as much money on new designs because the kids wouldn't know the old ones anyway.

    9. it is more like GN000 0 gundam type ACD to me. the design is good but no "wow" factor for me coz it looks like a recycled design!

  2. When they tried to be creative, (some) people will say "this is not gundam"......

  3. I'm not a fan of "backpack syndrome" but this doesn't look too bad.

    4. I wonder if the backpack could fit into RG Gundam Mk. 2...
As Build Strike's could fit into RG Strike

    5. Greanseal. just finished making it a few minutes ago and no it won't work with the real grade. The basic backpack of the build MK 2 is different from the normal Mk2 and there is no RG plug to even be used with the RG strike.

  4. I hope they don't overuse the name: "Build-"
    Its a pretty lame name.

  8. is that airmaster's vfin? well it's not too bad.

    1. It's a little bit thicker than Airmaster's, but it is the general shape. Besides, I'm sure the Airmaster Gundam will be made as part of the All Gundam Project.

  9. I know this thing is part of the builders universe, but If Emma Sheen had access to this upgrade during her last fight, she would have blown Reccoa and the Palace Athene to dust with little effort. Just wishful thinking on my part as I hated that she was killed off.

  10. art image looks awesome tho, dunno why people hate this

    1. I don't either. I, for one, rather like it. It's almost like kind of a different take on the "Super Gundam" concept...
I bet it'd look awesome in Titans colors too.

  11. I don't get the hate; I think this looks great. If it was a variation based in UC instead of a Builder- everyone would be creaming themselves over this.

    1. EXACTLY! I bet if Unicorn wasn't set in UC, fans will be hating it in droves.

  12. Well, the haters will hate. My son is just getting into gunpla, and with how cheap they are being made (not to mention the imminent Double X ), I'm all in on it. We're gonna have a blast. The rest can go back and watch whatever made them happy, or join suiton in wishlist oblivion.

  14. it'll surely be better than seed

    we know dat much

  15. Hopefully this design and other modified pre-existing suits will be retconned into the UC timeline a la Perfect Gundam.

  16. It looks like they are making the mk ii into an age 2 double bullet

    1. actually theyre making it into the F91 Gundam

and please think before you post. people will trash you for saying AGE related stuff

      Delete
    2. Ummm... this isn't all that much like the F91. Sure it has two guns on its backpack, but the way they're held is different. No one's trashed him for mentioning AGE except you. All your post was was a smartass "correction". He made a fair comparison, and while yours may be slightly closer, that's no reason to trash him for it.

  18. Looking at the design closely, I think the reason the rifles are attached to it is that the backpack increases the beam output and also serves as a recharge rack.

  20. Another peg hole huh? So we'll be seeing more pack-on-pack-on-pack action in this series

    ReplyDelete
  21. I for one like the back pack concept because it offers versatility or the means to adapt to situations and environment changes that set equipment could not handle or be ideal for.
True it is a dated concept but an effective one at that.

  22. shut up all of u shitbricks...... this is one of the gundam with best desain in it's era. . .
well i'm MK II fans too, so i don't care what people says about that bacpack... but' it's more like upgrade too me rather than that ugly bulky of sengoku astray red *ooppssss ~~~

  23. The v-fin reminds me of Tornado Gundam.
And that flying pose in the drawings reminds me of AoZ.

  24. Yaya this is great and all but reusing the old HGUC MK-II with the hideous seam line running down the leg...

  26. The full gundam mk. II package eh? Now I'm tempted. This backpack actually looks like it could be in UC.

  27. I wonder if Build Booster Mk-II would work with RG version of Mk-II ...Coz I quess RG is better than this?

    ReplyDelete
  28. The side binders with the guns look fine, but it'd be more awesome if tthere was an AoZ Shield Booster with it

  30. I still don't know if the v-fin and chest vents will be molded in yellow color. On the one hand, this picture http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dYfM1k6LkIA/Um4RXQdiOmI/AAAAAAAFYfM/sNN_8dQ3bmg/s1600/20.jpg shows it unpainted an unlined (as most hobby mags usually show the unpainted an unlined kit. I say most as a generalization). On the other hand, said images contain stickers and in the same photo you can see the back of the v-fin in a blueish-gray color. I don't know, what do you think?

  32. Oh. Hands-free "VSBRs." That is a step up from the Strike. Still, as much as I like over the shoulder cannons and waist cannons, I would have liked to see something a little bit different. I'll have to see in action before I jump onboard with this custom. Looking at you, Double Bullet.
