Gundam Build Fighter: MG 1/100 Strike Rouge Flambouyant - On Display @ Gundam Build Fighters Press Conference

MG 1/100 Strike Rouge Flambouyant (Release Date: TBA, Price: TBA)
Not sure what to make of this possible release.  Although not yet confirmed to be an upcoming release by Bandai, but this is not doing anything for me.  I think we are more excited about the Strike Rouge Ootori pack...

  2. Meh, did something similar a few years back with my HG Strike and a modified WZC backpack. Called it the Angel Striker and armed it with the Kotobukiya MSG Lance

  3. Four words came to my mind when I saw that.. "What the actual fuck ?"

Seriously Bandai, you're gonna release an MG of that when 3 lead Gundams still haven't been made in MG ? Seriously ?
I don't know.. Even a bloody MG of the Build Strike Gundam Full Package would have been a better choice (I actually wouldn't mind at all, its design is fairly good and they could reuse some molds from the recent Strike Ver.RM without looking THAT lazy). But that.. THAT.. *facepalm*

  4. Actually this is not an upcoming release or anything like that.. This is a custom build by the girl beside Kawaguchi-san, the SKE48 girl, Matsui Rena.. she also painted the HG Build Strike Gundam that in the talk video too..

She is a gundam fan and a gunpla builder, in 2011 she enter GBWC and build a Strike Rouge (blue and white color scheme), in 2012 she is a presenter in GBWC and in Gunpla Expo 2012, she showcase her work the Buster Gundam (Babababuster) with 2 other SKE48 girls..

    1. ...true or not this makes alot more sense...(trying to google from a reputable source from stuff I have little way of actually finding is awkward DERP)

As an official kit it makes no sense, as gunpla made by idols with their creativity then YES it makes alot of sense...

And to those calling it a lazy design, that isn't lazy, lazy is how I make my gunpla, straight out the box, snap fit and no additional add ons or even decals (or paint for that matter).

Gunpla is free to the imagination, we can build as we please, if we wish to blow our cash on a brick and treat it as a brick we are free to, for someone to bother doing a kit bash and even bother to paint it (rather nicely if my bad eyes and poor resolution doesn't cloud my judgement) then kudos to them!

Also I shan't see any replies and I hardly follow gunpla news other than pics here so what I say is based on personal opinion, logic and informative views are irrelevant.

    2. ^True that. I usually kitbash stuff but I don't usually paint them (Planned to paint in bulk but got too lazy)

  5. Should have modified shoulders (with strike noir/providence/legend) for better effect.

  6. Did Bandai state that this is getting a release? From what I saw from the live stream, I thought Kawaguchi-sensei was just presenting like a "token" to her because she is into Gundam and Gunpla.
