  3. I do like the Xi Gundam very much. But to pay 10500 yen for just 1 thing.

    1. Xi gundam is huge compared to other gundams. Its size and the fact that its a limited edition RD make the price pretty average.

    2. No it doesn't. You can get a Perfect Grade or Exclusive Release Master Grades for that. If you look hard enough on eBay you can get GFF Metal Composites for that. Robot Damashii is a colossal rip off in terms of bang for your buck. The figures that are worth the price tag are far and few between.

    3. Rip off? For the web exclusive the price will easily go up by 5 times, plus its a detailed model/toy, unlike Metal composite, its articulation is far superior.

And whats more its 1/144 scale model unlike its non scale GFF counterpart.

For 144 scale collectors and connoisseurs, its a must.

    4. Check the price of a GFF Xi gundam on E-bay. Costs almost double this RD version.
I'm pre-ordering one. Its only for people who are big enough fans of Xi, not for doubters.

    5. Everything related to value is purely opinion. Detailed model/toy however? It's a toy, don't try and call it something else. Metal Composites are far more detailed and just as articulated. And they actually ARE of a certain scale. Most of the RD line is non scale, so the 1/144 scale argument has no place here.

The only saving grace for the Xi Gundam is that it's a Ka Signature, which means it's free of the wonky proportions that a lot of other RD releases suffer from.

For collectors of unique and, in my opinion, impressive designs, the Xi Gundam is a must. It has nothing to do with scale.

    6. I had all of Ka Signature & indeed the scale is 1/144. for example Byarlant Custom & Zaku I Sniper has same height as the HGUC version.

    7. @ Anon 3:56; Ebay is not the "only" online auctionéretail shopping network in the world.

      @ Anon 6:10; It is a model-toy (Action figure),

General, Metal composite are 1/100 scale except Psyco MK II.

Ver Ka. is a saving grace? The proportion of GFF XI Ver ka. is completely crap.

1/144 scale in RD line is rarely produced hence more the value(not opinion). In general to most collectors their collection "in respective scales" hold high regards.

Also Xi and Messer holds Key positions in UC design as; after them, small frame gundam came into the play.

And for last to get a 1/100 scale MG of this design will be very difficult, as it would stand 28 cm high and will be very very heavy. Hence a correct scale of this design is very sought after by collectors.

  4. the Xi looks prmising because its the first time its actually made. the SH figuart iron men, is just sad. they dont compare to the revoltech versions nor the hasbro offerings.

    1. Its the second time. Xi existed as a GFF before, which these days (if you can find one) cost more than this new RD.

    2. figuarts ironman looks on par with his revoltech counterpart. Hasbro? hasbro falls below, way below comparison to figuarts and revoltech.

    3. Anon 12:16, GFF Xi is still available sub 70 USD, and used is even more cheaper.

GFF is non scale, RD is 144 Scale.
