  2. I feel third place has more elegance than either first or second, but that ReZEL-with-too-much-stuff in first place is actually rather impressive, in a Deep Striker kind of way.

    1. I agree with you about third place, but for some reason I just dislike gunpla models that mass assortment of weapons like that. I just feel that less is more, like third place.

  5. Erm.... just want to know all of you opinion.

Who's here think that simple, elegance & paint job that make MS standing proudly or big with more detail, massive weapon & combine MS/parts that make a menacing look is better?

    Just curious to know.

    1. Too many weapons and extra ms parts is kind of an over kill :/ it just shows that you need to bash everything together to win. Out of all of them I liked the third place for open course :] what happened to all the straight builds with amazing paint jobs?

    2. I agree. Parts bashing seems like an easier route to making a model impressive compared to subtle improvements and perfect painting.

Plus, its hard to appreciate a model when it's been tacked-on beyond recognition.

  6. It's all about who has the biggest kits with the most and/or biggest guns :(

  8. Obviously all you guys don't know what the hell you are looking at. The 1st place winner is more than just a bunch of weapons. HE didnt just simply glued them together. He actually did a lot of work in detailing and creating those pieces. He's not one of those people who just buy lots of gunpla and clusterfuck one with shit loads of weapons. Eday's work is masterful. If you guys could just look at more closeup pictures of it you would see how beautifully detailed his work is.

    1. No one is saying that its just bunch of weapons. What their concern is about is that having a lot of weapons and extra MS parts seems to be a reoccurring theme during the competition.

    2. i agree, the reason eday win its not the stack of weapon, its actualy his effort working on the detail, i my self not a big fan gunpla with giant over kill weapon, but imo eday works deserve to be champion.

  11. i can't believe japan and malaysia didn't make it to the top 3. it's like they're making every country win the top 3 no matter how shitty their work is. marketing strat, bandai? i love eday's work but the second and third, specially the 2nd one looks stupid compared to japan's entry. and singapore and malaysia.

  12. How to win the Gunpla World Cup:

    1. Take a model kit
    2. Slap a bunch of unneeded crap on it to the point you can't see the original model kit
    3. ????
    4. PROFIT!
