[Update 8/9/12 1:59 AM PST]
Looks like someone managed to grab a quick shot of everything around the prototype. If this shot is accurate, then it confirms that RG #10 is indeed the Zeta Gundam! Thanks to the intrepid photographer & AE Media for posting the pic!
[Update 8/8/12]
According to a japanese blogger ろあの~く雑記帳♪♪, the 10th gunpla in the Real Grade Scale series is confirmed to be the RG 1/144 Zeta Gundam, and the prototype is currently on display at Gundam Front Tokyo @ Diver City (Odaiba, Japan).  However, photo shooting is not allowed, and that is probably why we haven't seen any image of it online.  According to folks who have seen the prototype on display, the proportion of the kit if transformed into Wave Rider mode looks good. But is currently uncertain whether the kit support full transformation or not.
The RG 1/144 Zeta Gundam is due for release this November 2012.  We will continue to provide more info as we find them.

Previous Updates:
The next Real Grade 1/144 scale Gundam model kit will be on display at the following locations:
Gundam Tokyo Front (Aug 9th 2012)
JR Osaka Station - East Exit (Aug 15th - 21st 2012)
Chara Hobby (Aug 25th - 26th)
*A reliable source indirectly suggested that the next RG is indeed the RG 1/144 Zeta Gundam. But is probably best to wait for Bandai's confirmation*

  1. it transforms....this is definitely a new evolution of the RG frame

  2. I dont think we can transform it between gundam & waverider many times, there are risks that the inner frame will break *_*

    1. Do you have one in yours hands? Because the way you're saying you're pretty confident in it. Don't judge it till it's out. It may be brittle, but none of us know this right now

    2. I actually agree with him. Iv already had 2 RG inner frames break just from trying to do normal poses. I can only hope this one is built a lot stringer.

    3. It'll break only if you have troll hands >.>
All my RG are fine and without a scratch...

    4. Actually we know how fragile and how (poor) quality plastic material Bandai uses in MG line. (Hello Hi-NU, Destiny, and...)

And same issues with the polycapness kits, the new joints, the very looooose new joints, and all the good stuff.

So,... if you know the facts, you know the risks.

    5. i agree with the looseness but there is always something you can do about it.

    6. If bandai use poor quality plastic , I prefer u go for bootleg than go for bandai , since its poor plastic why pay extra ??

It depend on how u handle it , the most safe way is to have all armour up and start slowly moving it , using sudden force to move it will result in breaking of inner frame . Hope this help :)

  3. This was the picture I was waiting for. I was wondering when a picture of the RG Zeta in Wave Rider mode was going to be uploaded. I'm guessing its gonna be pretty fragile for a TMS(Transforming Mobile Suit).

  4. Kinda looks flimsy. Still awesome though.

  5. Fully transformable or parts-former?

    ReplyDelete
  6. It's fully transformable. In the caption on the left, it says that the transformation will be more durable/stable than the master grade or perfect grade were. It's also going to be shown off at a hobby show where they will demonstrate how it transforms.

  7. This is great news but you know what's more awesome than Waverider mode? MS mode.

    ReplyDelete
  8. one thing that bugs me is while we finally have a pic of the waverider mode, we still have not had a picture of the MS with the hyper mega launcher.. i do hope it's included

    ReplyDelete
  9. A RG that is transformable, has a inner frame, color separation and MG quality articulation...this is either going to be one of the most awesome kits that bandai has ever made or possibly the biggest clusterfuck in gunpla,

    ReplyDelete
  10. Why was this such a big deal to people? Are you honestly going to transform this and display it in Waverider mode?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Wouldn't it be best to buy two? just keep one in MS mode and the other in Wave Rider?

    1. And Bandai's crafty plan for double profit is revealed.

      Delete
    2. as usual... :) and, usually, we fall for it.. :(

  12. Where is the Hyper Mega Launcher? Hope they'll include one in this. Not giving Zeta the HML would be like not giving 00 Raiser it's GN Sword III -_-

  13. Wow. First time ive seen pictures of this thing in a pose other than just standing there.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'm guessing this thing is like the HGUC and makes it so that you remove the arms and the head for the waverider mode. If you look at the pictures, there's no way that the shoulders or the arms are on, they would have been noticeable so... Looks like a partformer. :\

    ReplyDelete
  15. well it's about time they released an image of the Zeta being able to stand on it's 2 feet... if it couldn't stand in it's own 2 feet, you can't expect it to transform... X__X

  16. Just after I had sworn off of fully transformable kits thanks to the mg Delta Plus(That thing is a NIGHTMARE), Bandai goes and tempts me with this...

    ReplyDelete
  17. I'm glad that a picture of the RG Zeta with its Beam Sabers was uploaded. Now if only a picture of the Hyper Mega Launcher could be uploaded.

    ReplyDelete
  18. All it need now is a mini brain fried Kamille in the cockpit :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. Where the hell is the freaking Hyper Mega Launcher? Now I'm thinking twice before getting this or wait again for an "Enhanced/Special" edition.

    1. You think Bandai's gonna turn down the chance to milk the everloving hell out of this suit? haha

Bandai's like that girl who teases you all the way to the finish line but won't let you ***

  20. The rifle looks like it might have to be painted. How many parts does a RG weapon normally have?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. not so many that it's fragile but more than you think.

      Delete
    2. Thanks, this was the first RG I seriuosly considered getting.

      Delete
  21. Where's the source saying that the RG is a partsformer?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Is a typo. It is fully transformable without parts swapping.

    ReplyDelete
  23. ok gg, thanks for informing this.
I really can't wait for this transformable rg ^^

    ReplyDelete
  24. So uh this doesn't come with the big gun?

    ReplyDelete
  25. i see some missing yellow details on the forearms and the legs, kinda like on the MG Zeta ver.2.0. that's a bit disappointing since this is a real grade. they're very small details but still, i expected every part to be molded in the right color, i mean, it's a real grade. and the big gun, seems like it's not included.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Where does "AG01006" come from? AG = Argama or AEUG? 006 is part of the model number, but I don't know about the 01 preceding it, unless they're hinting at some of the other Zeta Gundams from Gundam Evolve. I'm against milking certain designs ad infinitum, but those are actually pretty cool (except for the Z3, which is ugly and for some reason did get a limited edition MG). I think it would be neat if those were released as variations. Even the Titans ZG from Gundam vs. Zeta Gundam would be something - everything looks better in black.

I'm only bringing this up I'm fine and dandy with my HGUC ZG and don't feel compelled to buy another model of the same MS in the same scale. You can only expect people to buy the same thing so many times. At least give us something slightly different.

  27. * Missle launcher can be outfitted on the back of the shield as seen in the theatrical movie release.

Hmm.. where is the "missile launcher" then? Is it included in another box?
Hope that we'll have some more info about this 'cause I don't want to buy 2 RGs of same kind plus I'm buying the 1/48 Zeta head. MUST HAVE MORE MONEY.

    1. look closely at the shield's underside in the third shot. It has the missle launchers on the underside

  28. I hope they'll release a zeta plus c-1 version in RG.

    1. OMG yes even if it's HGUC, I'll still be happy.

  29. The more I look at this kit, the more I want it. The Zeta Gundam is one of my all time favorite Gundam designs. I really hope the plastic on the kit isn't too brittle. Most of the kits I have are usually held together with glue...I guess I shouldn't pose them so much :P

    ReplyDelete
  30. Man I hope Bandai keeps making real grades and eventually make a real grade Destiny Gundam well a guy can hope.

    ReplyDelete
  31. It will be interesting where Bandai goes from here for RG #11 =D

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hmm now that its possible to do transformation in RG how about Gundam Airmaster, Kyrios, Arios and Harute?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. i highly doubt any of those will be made. seeing as how bandai just focuses on main mobile suits of any series at this time. RG Nu and Sazabi seems more likely to be made, or any other lead like Exia, X, God, or Wing.

      Delete
    2. We got the mass produced Zaku 2... but I guess that was an easy cheap recolor for Bandai haha.

I wonder if the next RG will be UC or AU? I can see RG Nu and Sazabi as the logical choice but would love to see the X Divider or Exia.

    1. RG Turn A or RG God Gundam would be so much better.

    2. RG Turn A would be awesome! Especially if it come with moonlight butterfly effect parts :)

Gold plated RG Hyaku Shiki would be ridiculously expensive though.

  34. Cautiously optimistic! Hope its sturdy and doesn't fall to pieces with the transformation. I'm looking forward to the fan reviews.

  35. You know, with the recent advances in engineering (I'm looking at you MG Age-2! Just so you know, it's awesome.) I feel as if this is going to be awesome, epic, radical, etc.

    1. Solving the worlds problems is overrated. All future engineering innovations should go into gunpla!

  36. Even though the Hyper Mega Launcher isn't included, I'm happy that bandai included a part for the beam rifle's bayonet. Now if only they had a horse packaged with that bayonet piece :P

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. my bad its just another beam saber part. can it be attached to the beam rifle though?

  37. You know, I'm wondering if Bandai will make a limited edition alternate version of the RG Zeta like they did with some of the other RGs.

If so, I'm really crossing my fingers for the White Zeta (even though I went on a aggravating journey to get the MG; I just can't get enough of Amuro?... <_<).

    ReplyDelete
  38. I don't see the hyper-mega launcher in any of the photos D:

    1. That's because Bandai is probably rubbing their hands in glee about releasing it as an online exclusive at an obscene price point. Zeta's a popular suit so they're going to milk it for all its worth!
