  7. MG AGE-2... somehow reminds me of NG 1/100 00 series because of the panel lines on those binders. It's like adding panel lines for the sake of trying to look more sofisticated.
HG pirate Dark Hound is great however. It's a tribute to the Crossbone Gundams. It's something that normally Beginner Gunpla manga would do.

    1. MGs are supposed to be panel lined a lot, durr hurr

    2. Look at MG Marasai. Or just look at MG AGE-2's legs. Do you see a lot of unnecessary panel lines? No. Therefore, you can see my point that they are adding panel lines to otherwise plain looking pieces of binders, which is kinda pointless, since they are too plain to begin with. I won't mind if they are adding mechanical parts and bulk up the binders but no, they are flat pieces of plastic only.

  8. Oh no... Age-2 doesn't look right at all. The portions are bad. The wings and legs looks weird.

  9. I like the blue on the MG Age-2.

I like the Dark Hound so much. Retaining the Woolf(Hound) reference despite the color change is a plus.

  10. Nice I'm seeing a lot of cool stuff here...

  11. I still prefer the colour of ReZEL Type [Defenser B-Unit] from manga/game. This ReZel seem to be from the Unicron episode 5?

    1. Like we need more Wing MGs.

    2. But we haven't got Heavyarms Kai ~EW~, Altron ~EW~, Sandrock ~EW~ and Tallgeese III in MG. :O

This kinda open up the chance of use getting one of those. :p

    3. So they're FINALLY designing mobile suits for Frozen Teardrop as opposed to just keeping them cloaked? I expect these to be instant sell-outs unless the designs REALLY suck.

    4. I'm really hoping for a MG Tallgeese. I don't care which one, just something.

    5. @Anonymous (on May 17th, 6:49 AM): The same case can be made for MGs of MSs from other Gundam anime currently, be it SEED, AGE, or Universal Century-era kits (currently Unicorn, but also First Gundam and those in-between to a lesser extent). Even if you're disagreeable with the release of new Wing material (manga, novel, and MGs) since late-'10, MGs from those other Gundam anime have also been released since then (or are planned to being released soon, as evidenced in the photos and info in this blog entry).

It's simply a matter of taste. Stating it so matter-of-factly (whether it's displeasure towards this or something else) doesn't make it any more valid than someone who finds it in good taste that Wing MGs are still being made (which hardly comes as a surprise, since I recall seeing a 1/100 Tallgeese as a placeholder in photos of a past event or two, or considering the engineering in these MG kits that enable also making their upgrade units). Besides, it's just a diorama (based on artwork for the Frozen Teardrop novel) without true specifics, and like some announcements of MGs or Robot Damashiis or other things in the past, it might or might not come to pass.

I personally am looking forward to it (especially if it means Frozen Teardrop models in whatever grade, but I'll settle for more EW MGs since it seems more likely), given that I happen to like the Wing designs thus far. I guess we'll disagree on whether we need more Wing (or SEED/AGE/Unicorn) kits or not (as if we have a say in it to begin with; otherwise, I would be seeing an MG Gold/Silver SUMO and Turn X here), and get what we want after obligatory postings of our two cents. *shrug*

    1. If you're talking about the HG AGE 2 Dark Hound (Black pirate gundam with hook binders) It's a Eye Patch/Visor (it is a pirate after all) Nothing wrong with that face.

The 'eye patch' will probably replace or enhance the normal gundam eyes, which look real sick here in yellow/gold

  16. Too bad RG justice's antenna is still kinda in the way of the cannons, even though it's already much better than HG

  18. Frozen Teardrop kits...Still no Tallgeese of any kind *sigh* why must you torment me so Bandai?

  19. Definitely didn't expect that eyepatch on Dark Hound and the Builder Parts line seems interesting. But it's the System Weapon's 3 that caught me pleasantly surprised.

    1. As a consumer, I think I'll buy 1/144 versions of them instead of the SDs. I think design-wise they're great but the whole chibi form takes a lot from it by simplifying form and condensing the details.

      Delete
    2. I can agree on that. But on the other hand it's marketed more towards younger and beginner modelers. It's simplified and easy to build to attract the short-attention span of the kids. Plus, I think they'd rather build a cute SD kit than an AG which is even more simplified and lacks detail or a HG which is more complex.
Basically, I doubt they'd cancel this line.

  21. HG AGE-3 Fortress I reckon will be out a bit later. I think they are pacing out the AGE releases at the moment. I will be VERY dissapointed if we don't get stuff like the Clanche (Custom too), Gomel and whatever else comes our way!

  22. I really don't mind buying just the cloak and hands with weapons LOL. I think they look really terrific.

  23. AWWW YEAAA!

I'll have to get the MG Age-2 and its variant(?) Dark Hound!

  24. No sign of Ghirarga HG 1/144?

  25. Wow! Gundam legacy has been up for nearly a decade. This shows that their fans never died of supporting their merchandises.

  26. Oh man, so much to comment on.
First, I love how the Marasai seems to include both fixed pose fingers and the normal possable 2.0 hands as well X3
Next, I'm diggin the AGE-3 Orbital even more now, and im most likely going to buy the pirate gundam
The blitz looks pretty sweet, but I'll have to get it later if at all
Getting that extra AGE-1 Wear, looks really good imo, and the MG AGE-2 Normal ofc
Probably going to pass on the RG justice, since I can just wait to see a review to find out if I would really like it or not
