  2. i wouldn't be surprised if they would announce an MG blu duel this year ;)

  3. indeed they look awesome, to bad the MG Strike will look like a NG, wich means we really need a MG Strike 2.0, this is not the same case has wing ver ka since the kit still looks great with the other EW kits.

    1. but the difference between the Ver Ka Wing and the Wing EW is that the Ver Ka Wing has got a really bad frame design. It was really flimsy and literally the parts all wanted to fall out of place. That's not the case with the EW release. Frame became really solid and the parts that kept falling off, stayed in place fairly well... XD

    2. what are you talking about? the kit is literally the same

  4. hmm. can't say love it or hate it but,
hopefully this turn out to be good. I'll just wait for further review.

  5. That's some sexy abs's articulation, plus the pelvis joint sure is a improvement over the aging MG strike.
Though I think multiple fix manipulator (MG Strike Noir)will work better than swaping-finger type of manipulator(MG Wing EW)

  6. MG Strike looks outdated.... MG Strike Ver 2.0 please~

  7. They even included the stolen bazooka in this kit.

    1. Mod in mind: MG Blue/Red Astray+some parts of MG Blitz=MG Astray Gold Frame Amatsu OR
just paint MG Red Astray Gold+minus right arm+Duel bazooka. Perfect!

  8. wicked boxart indeeed!

  9. Have you all even built the MG Strike? It's a perfectly fine model, it doesn't need a 2.0. This is going to turn into the 'Wing Gundam EW needs 2.0' all over again.

    1. that would be nice for a ew 2.0 or we can just mod the crap out of the mg wing (anime ver.) but this is a great look at what the mg das is going to be like. I forgot just how much blue there is to lol. On the plus side we also know that aegis, buster, and blitz will be on there way as well so here's to some great mg's in the future :)

    2. i dont have a problem with MG wing Ver Ka or EW, they still look good with the other newer EW MG's, but MG Strike is pretty mutch outdated in terms of looks compared to MG Duel.

      Delete
    3. Agreed. I haven't built the Strike but I know that it's a decent enough kit.

I'd rather Bandai channel their energies to designs that badly deserve 2.0s like the ALEX or the GP01. Or make completely new MGs from under-appreciated AUs or UC grunts other than those from the OYW (unless you're talking about the Dom. we need more badass Doms).

    4. i think mg burning gundam need the "2.0" treatment

      Delete
  10. nothing wrong with a 2.0, more model variation, more business!
The Duel is actually a really simple machine with pad on armor parts. Nicely done. Looking forward to how they design Aegis' transform mechanisms

  11. I was never really a fan of the duel... until now. That is one fantastic looking MG. The only problem is I want 2, one to display with the shroud, one without! I'm really looking forward to the MG Aegis, Buster and Blitz

    ReplyDelete
  12. It makes yours STRIKE and FREEDOM become silly ;)

    ReplyDelete
  13. Well either the mg duel gundam has the old mg strike frame (however I don't believe that) or it has a brand new frame such would work perfectly for a MG strike 2.0 so I think it would be silly of bandai not to use that

    ReplyDelete
  14. kit looks great, but those colors have got to go! Looks ideal for a repaint.

    ReplyDelete
  15. no sliding thigh armor? that's odd.

    ReplyDelete
  16. what's they mean by degirama ? that view of cockpit is just awesome !

from the pic, I assume next mg will be buster. hell yeah! go buster

sadly aegis will come last. *sob*

    1. It actually makes sense for the Aegis to come last because it makes the consumers drool. It's essentially the most anticipated in this line-up.

It's pretty much the same strategy they used for the EW line: release Deathscythe/D-Hell first for impact and nostalgia, follow it up with the more bland (relative to the others IMO) Shenlong and Sandrock while hinting at their more popular upgrades then cap it off with the fan-favorite Heavyarms.

      Delete
    2. I agree with you man. This is also a plus if the line art represent's the order they will come out in. I'm glad that they did release the heavy arm's last because they hit that out of the ball park. Missle pods seperated from the frame was something i hope they planned from the begining with heavyarms. Plus with all the stuff they were able to have in with ha as well made me happy about it. If Bandai takes there time and puts in as much...hm lost for a word in this sentence but none the less if bandai plays it smart Aegis will be an amazing MG. There gonna need the time to figure out how to make it good if not awesome. Taking time and planning it out will help them alot :)

  17. For those who desire a Strike 2.0 how bout taking some effort to "upgrade" your own MG Strike if you got one?

    ReplyDelete
  18. i wish they'd make a version that doesn't have the shroud...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. they did, the shroud can be removed so that the "unshrouded" version can be displayed

      Delete
    2. what are you talking about? did you even see the pictures before posting a comment?

      Delete
    3. the shroud is removable....

  19. I noticed that the Buster & Bltiz gundam's gray parts have that oen particular circular design that is similar to strike, but it is not present on the MG Duel..

I think Aegis's torso area doesn't need that re-design to make it have the boxy styled torso design like the other 4 units..And the antenna on its head is abit too short if you compare it to the original design..

  20. I kind of see a "trend"/ "pattern" with the partially completed set of the Wing gundam's and the launch of the New MG seed kits to hit the future...I can see Bandai doing all of the other gundams from the 00 series. S1, S2, and the movie suits as well and for any other series out there that had more than one main gundam like the Gundam X series for example. If Bandai is planning on doing stuff like this with the Wing MG's and the Seed, we all might just see tons of MG's that don't just revolve around the main/lead gundam in the series. Here's to hopeful and wishful thinking. :)

  21. MG Blitz on my list. Hopefully an MG Gadezza too. And where's my MG Gerbera Tetra? Where's he love bandai huh? Where is it?????

    1. Listen to THIS guy. This is more like it.

  22. 2011 was the Wing Year. Cheers to another year of SEED.

The only problem with MG Strike was the ball joints and the pseudo-shifting knee armour. Ball joints really limit leg articulation (and we all know that SEED/Destiny units are known for their fancy rifle/sword poses)

Of this line-up, I'd have to say I'm looking forward to Buster and Aegis the most. Though I wish they'd do an MG Legend someday so I can complete my set with S.Freedom, Destiny and I.Justice.

    1. don't forget MG Providence man!

      buster. check.
      aegis. check.
legend.. wait *hacking bandai factory server to find leaked info*

      XD

    2. I want them to do the destiny season 1 ms, especially the gaia which has the sexiest black colour scheme combined with skinnyness that makes it badass :)

  23. Duel is actually my least favorite ZAFT Gundam, but seeing how nice this looks, I can't wait for the rest of the releases!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Technically it's not a ZAFT Gundam...

      Delete
    2. Meh, technically the Physalis isn't a Zeon Gundam, either. Just tried to make a distinction since my overall least favorite in GAT series would have to be the Forbidden.

  24. Freedom 2.0, strike 2.0,justice please

    1. no thanks. they're so played out. the little guys need the spotlight.

    2. ^ what he said. now you people stop begging for a strike 2.0 just because the rest of the GATX MSes have better articulations than MG strike.

  25. Is that small grenade launcher near the rear upper thruster? (near beam saber mountings)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Im betting we get a re-colour for the MG strike, its still a very nice kit despite being an older model. Still top notch though i just put mine tohether recently, would definitely like to know how the joints held up.

    1. a very nice kit compared with what exacly? the old kits made in the 90's? give me a fukin break.

    2. no need to be hating on someones comment man.

  27. I think the most significant change the Strike Frame would get in a 2.0 treatment would be the improved torso joints and the improved non ball jointed leg to waist connections. Old Strike Frame is using a ball jointed leg connection limiting it's kicking poses and the torso area cannot handle that much back weight issues. That said, I think the new SEED MGs will incorporate these newer designs and by doing so both the Freedom and the Strike frames would have obsolete inner frame technology.

Really just excited on seeing the innovative design they put in the Aegis' Frame. Pretty sure it's frame design is really unique out of all the GAT-X units they're gonna be releasing or even out of all the transformable MGs they ever released. I mean, after all the Aegis' transformation has got to be the most unique transformation I've ever seen on a mobile suit second only to the Gaia.

Now I wonder if they'll also make Rosso Aegis, Nero Blitz, Blu Duel and Verde Buster MGs... :3 Oh how I wish... XD

  28. I love the black gaia hope they make an MG of it for sure, it has the sexiest looking head out of all seed ms's and dude is it sleek. IMO an underrated design because people think its 'dog' mode is uncool, which it isn't if you understand why it has this mode (hint hint the name 'GAIA' hint hint ;). Also gotta love a black colour scheme that actually looks good and not dull/ emo

    ReplyDelete
  29. hopefully they make all of the seed's gat gundam suits...including forbidden, raider and calamity. i mean seriously, they must be the best trio of crazy badass gundam pilots ever. and their unit designs are pretty original. i could snap all 3 of them up incl all 4 of these gat series. wow cant believe its actually been 10 years since seed.....o_O

    ReplyDelete
  30. ANybody else notice the Forbidden on the lower left of the box art? ^_^

  31. With the 4 GATX machines coming out soon, I hope they continue with Justice (I mean you make a MG Freedom and no sidekick Justice?), Providence, Forbidden, Calamity, and Raider. And 2 years from now, if they do an anniversary for Destiny, I hope they do MG Saviour, Chaos, Gaia, Abyss, Blast Impulse, Legend, and Akatsuki. Hahahaha, wishful thinking. So many MG ideas, so little time and money

    ReplyDelete
  32. Wow, the boxart is awesome, feels like having twin gundam.
    I like it.
This is getting better and better.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Just how do Bandai decides which MS will b the next MG model or 4 tat matter HGUC? Do they do some sort of lucky draw or something?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Something's wrong with the box art... it says ZAFT... shouldn't it be an OMNI Mobile Suit like the Strike... O_O

It was used by ZAFT but it's still made by the Alliance...

    ReplyDelete
  35. The addition of the assault shroud is ZAFT design. Not sure how they will label future models but this one can be justified

    ReplyDelete
  36. great. look at the fugly hands they're using for the duel. same as those swappable non moving finger ones we got from the wing gundam series

    ReplyDelete
  37. OMNI on decals on the Duel then ZAFT decals on the Assault Shroud armor. The Irony.

    ReplyDelete
  38. is it possible to attach the strike packs into the basic form (no assualt) or even the impulse packs just like what they did with the impulse itself where bandai gave a connector on the backpack

    ReplyDelete
  39. seems to have the same proportion problem as mg strike.
its torso is a bit too big compared to other limbs. the main reason I didn't buy mg strike.
    sad. :(

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. the proportions seem perfect to me :\

      Delete
    2. This isn't a lol-Katoki design, if you want a ridiculously small torso with long limbs (well, long legs at least) you have plenty of other options.

      Delete
    3. No. You want bad proportions? Look at the old 1/100 NG kit. This one is perfect IMO.

      Delete
  40. I want my 3-fingers + trigger finger hands back. Either that or Bandai should make Zaku/Sinanju type hands for all kits

    ReplyDelete
  41. pretty sure they are using the same frame as the gundam wing ew series again....

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Same frame as the Wing kits? How the fuck would that even work?

      Delete
    2. Size between GAT series and Colony's gundam, and their frame structure are different each other. So that things won't work
