  2. I'll admit I haven't gotten into MG that much as of yet, but even I am thinking how it's a shame the apparently-popular MG lineup is cutting down. With cost being brought up half the time, I'm sure economic reasons are prevalent here, too.

But it's nice to get a glimpse into the near-future to help develop a realistic outlook in what's upcoming (and what isn't; despite the outcries and daydreams of the occasional forum poster/blog commenter).

  3. That's good news, I want RG from the UC time line

  4. So this is essentially confirming that a Hyakushiki 2.0 is going to be following the Delta Plus release? Awesome!!!!

And they're quoting engineering issues as the reason for not releasing V2 yet? Why? The only things that need to be changed are the core fighter, shoulders, front skirts, and the plastic color of the knees. I have a feeling it may be because of the add-on packs and weight issues.

Too bad about the MG Kshatriya, would love to own one, even if it does have a metal frame. Oh well, guess resin is the way to go for that.

I'm REALLY bummed about no more X kits. Have been wanting MG X for a LONG time.

I am kind of excited about more "cheap" MG kits. 2000 yen is a sweet price. The Balls are some awesome MGs especially for as cheap as they are!

  5. Having cheap MGs? I mean, aren't those the RGs?

  6. I think by "releasing something around 2000 yen or so" means they are referring to HGUC models and such. Not 2000 yen MG models.

I certainly hope they do put more development time into the V2 so it doesn't end up like the MG V.

Absolutely no love for Gundam X?

Now I wonder just how much the PG Unicorn would've cost if they released that. I was under the impression that the Unicorn is more popular than Strike Freedom... oh well.

MG Hyaku Shiki basically confirmed! It's about time!

  7. Bandai statements are completely logical from business point of view.

I dont have problem with fewer MG release..
    BUT..
Bandai must hear customer request first..

They should create MG wishlist poll on regular basis, and release MG based on those poll..
So even with fewer MG, each release will always be a worthy master grade kit.. :)

And btw, I'm also waiting for MG V2.. ^_^

  9. The translator was a bit confusing, it should be:
MG started during an (economy) bubble. Even though the cost is high
they will buy if the content is good. If they put out too much products, there will be people who won't be able to follow. Some HG will cost 2000 yen and some people can't even afford that. This is the reality of today."

  10. The answer for the interview does not confirm a MG Hyaku Shiki 2.0, but rather if they were to do a MG Delta Gundam, which is a Hyaku Shiki variant, they would evaluate the MG Hyaku Shiki 2.0.

  11. @Derringer - but isn't the Delta Gundam more of a Gelta Plus variant/prototype instead of the Hyaku Shiki? I mean, from what I know, the Delta Gundam transforms into waverider mode just like Delta Plus.

  12. RGs are overtaking MGs slowly.

Not that I have a problem with that, since they are a lot smaller and can fit on a shelf more easily without risk smashing stuff if it falls.

Sure, MGs are the core of Gunpla so there's no way it will every be replaced, but having more RGs is a plus for me.

  13. If seeing fewer MG releases means seeing more worthwhile MG releases, I'm down with it.

  14. i can smell hguc gerbera tetra and mg tallgeese. :)

  15. Not taking a risk for PG? Ha! People saw through their rip-off prices and and not buying them as much as Bandai wants, that's the real truth...

  16. ELIMINATE ALL BUT THE MG! AND I WANT MY MG KSHATRIYA!!!!!!

  17. I just want them to start building 1/100 scale RG kits. They'd basically be cheap MGs, but take a good look at the RG logo... It has a 1/144 on it... Meaning that they could release a 1/100 edition RG kit.

MG HyakuShiki 2.0 sounds awesome though.

And I think PG Unicorn would have to be expensive, since they would HAVE to make it transformable. That's the only way people would accept a PG Unicorn. That said, I'd probably buy it anyways.
