it always has been one , remember the episode where they are upgrading them? that's why it's a world class build because it was a real grade and that was the main reason of the "RG" system functionality.

so if the star winning get made into a master grade would that make the sd version about the same size as an hg? really does look real grade on try burning but was it stolen and painted purple like in the intro?
If we do get MG release for Winning and Star Winning, I presume that Bandai will probably go with a similar concept to what we have right now w/ the kits, but probably no stickers & more molded parts in the correct colors (things like clear green parts for the jewels, etc) and maybe MG style hands (like maybe those finger swapping kinds since having the movable fingers might be a bit weird in the SD scale).

Not really. It's not really lacking or rushed. It's just a very generic and cliche type of battle. They can't make this show too complicated. It's market group is towards the younger children to remind them to ask their parents to buy them GunPla models. And then, for example, if they get like the Build Strike Gundam HG, then they will see where they got the designs from, which is the Strike Gundam. Then they might buy that. Then after tinkering with HGs, they might get a few SDs, and then potentially MG and PG purchases.
...i don't know, sometimes the drawings aren't scaled well. i kinda think every HG kit there is 1:100 sized rather 1:144... making them MGs. Those amount of details for the inner frames resemble an MG rather a 1:144 RG. but then this is anime...
Technically speaking from the show, I think they are all in fact High Grade kits with the few exceptions that had Mega Scale and Super Deformed.
If you're wondering about the "inner frame", well take a peek at the HG release for Build Strike Full Package (for example). That guy has an inner frame; albeit a very simplified one.
So I can see why you and many people might get a little confused; especially after this week's episode where the spare parts for the Try Burning actually had a full blown inner frame and armor parts like a MG's construction goes.
But I could be wrong here. They might have just done it that way with that scene just the heck of it? I mean this show doesn't make a lot of sense in many aspects as this 1 example is another, well, example of that.
