    1. Every new line/grade related to Gundam done recently (models/figures) always start with the RX-78-2 like the Real Grade. So I'm about 99% sure that we will see that first or close to first.

    2. The normal series didn't start with the rx78, so it may be one of the new show.

    3. The HGUC line started off with Guncannon. Even though it eventuslly came (I don't remember if it's #17 or #22, but I think it's one of the two), it seems like everyone forgets that bit of info. Also, Robot Damashii isn't just Gundam, but a multitude of other series (I could be confused with Revoltech, since I don't collect either, but I think the line started off with "New" Getter-1)

  2. So basically it's going to be like a smaller scale version of the Metal Builld/Composite. Just like SRC is to SoC

    1. Sounds like it. "The articulation of a Robot Damashii with the look & feel of a Chogokin." That sounds a lot like a Super Robot Chogokin. I get the feeling it's going to be like this line, but for non-super (real) robots. I remember people whining when the Armored Core mech SRC was announced. If it were to be released now, this figure would probably go under that new label.

  3. I think that this will either end up being a small scale release of the Metal Build line so that they're more attractive in terms of price. Let's admit it. Metal Builds are a bit expensive.

So basically Metal Build will be like the 1/100 MG line of GunPla, and this new Metal Robot Damashii will be like the 1/144 HG or RG line of GunPla.

I'm assuming that aside from the RX-78-2 (since Bandai always does something with that guy), we're going to see a bunch of stuff from Seed/Destiny since those are popular in Japan, maybe some Gundam 00, but probably some stuff from Build Fighters and Build Fighters Try since those are the newer series and they need to promote those products before moving on to releasing the older series (G, Wing, X, CCA, Z, ZZ, 08th MS, etc)

  4. I'm surprised bandai hasn't even released Char's Zaku II for the damashii line.

  5. my three guesses:
RX-78-2 Gundam (Expecting because most bandai toy lines of multiple series either start with Mazinger or Gundam)
    El Dorado V (I wish)
Something having to do with the latest Sunrise Mecha series.

  6. Whatever it is, its gonna be expensive

  7. I'm game, my wallet has no choice but to be either

  8. To be honest im quite tired of the endless repeats on the Rx-78-2.... then again people would buy it over and over again..

  9. It's gonna costs a bomb to collect these, seeing how the price of RD is steadily going up, now added with chogokin some more. I'm hoping it's about the same price as the SRC.

  10. Robot Damashi looks so good, too bad they are non-scale... will totally be a fan if they use actual 1/144 scale...

    1. RD Side HM (Heavy Metal) from L Gaim and Ka Signature use 1/144 scale. In my opinion they release most RD with non-scale format because this line are mix of other mecha series, and somehow side MS in 1/144 scale will affect on gunpla sell, though this second reason cannot be proven.

  11. Same old? RX-78 Gundam and Mazinger Z?

    1. Its robot damashii, most likely non-scaled, but at a size that can stand along most hg's at 1/144.

      They would of said otherwise

  13. If its 1/144 scale I will considered it. But if its like non scaled Roda , ez pass

  14. It's a long shot, but I'm hoping for a Scopedog. I've always thought the Scopedog would work well in a Chogokin-esque line.

  15. Hi-Metal line failed to release anymore than... what 2? This one would probably share the same fate.

  16. wow, why not rx-78-2?

  17. Hi-Nu Gundam eh? Usually its like a RX-78 when Bandai announces a new Gundam related line. I guess they decided to do it big.

  18. What's the point of this? This is just GFFN =/

  19. My question is what's the difference from the already released hi nu damashii and this new metal build one? Because I'm considering making this my first metal build but I'm still a bit puzzled on what metal builds are

  20. This chogokin is getting rarer.. I managed to lay my hands on it.. Very nice metal build at 1/144 size. All the joints are cast iron similar to metal builds...

  21. Finally managed to buy this. I am very impressed by this metal build at 1/144 size. This one is getting rarer.. Hope to see the 2nd one in this series soon..
