    1. Its not on sale.
      In japan you can get your kits chrome plated at specialist locations.
      Costs a few thousand yen per runner.

  4. I was gonna say it's obviously painted but the runners are still in the packaging? I'm confused.

    1. because there is no way of resealing back after opening right?

    2. It wouldn't make sense to chrome paint when it's assembled, would it? Some parts may get missed, even if it's disassembled in parts. So it's easier to chrome everything and assemble later. That would leave nub marks but that would save on the costly chrome paint that would otherwise used excessively if paint each part by part after removed from runners.
