The August issue of Gundam ACE magazine announced the popular manga series Mobile Suit Gundam-san (by Hideki Ohwada) will be adapted into an anime feature. The concept of this comedy manga series uses a four panel comic format, so it would be interesting to see how they translate the contents into an animated feature. The Mobile Suit Gundam-san manga started back in 2001, had recently released the 12th volumn this past March.
The domain name 'gundam-san.net' had been registered under the company Sunrise back in February.

In the Gundam-san manga, Amuro was a pervert. It's been a couple years since I read it, but I think I remember a couple of the bits, including when he deserted White Base with the Gundam because he saw a Zeon propaganda commercial with a pretty girl, only for Sayla to lure him back almost immediately by talking seductively, and then beating the hell out of him. And another one involving Amuro's hesitance to kill a Zaku pilot because of the possibility of a pretty girl piloting it, only to see a couple pages of pornography or something (I'm not completely sure, as I said it's been a few years since I read it) slapped onto it, which immediately identifies the pilot as a guy, prompting Amuro to just casually shoot it down.

He already made it clear in an interview (in one of the back pages of Gundam-san comic) that he felt somewhat angry (and slightly funny) at how Char is protraited in the comic. And if the comic ever made it into an anime, he said please find someone else to voice Char because he won't do it.
