Personally I really like the look of it, but I just can't justify nearly 7000 yen (after shipping etc) when I can buy a Force Impulse Gundam for 2500 yen :|
by the looks on the destiny silhouette, it looks like that you won't be needing to remove the core-splendor in order to install the back-pack on to the gundam i think? besides, with or without anti-ship swords it looks kinda legit to me even if it is pink.
This would be a worthy purchase if it came with the Wings of Light effect pieces. Maybe Bandai plans on releasing it as an online exclusive add on with an Action Base included like what they did with the RG Destiny and RG Strike Freedom, and also like they are doing with HG Turn A.
I think this is an annoying kind of release and I don't think many fans would buy this at all. I am surprised that we didn't get a Destiny ver. RM yet among other ver. RM Seed and Seed Destiny models since those are better chances for Bandai to sell more models. I thought Seed and Seed Destiny are very popular in Japanese TV ratings?
SEED is was a-bit more popular because of the new remaster and anniversary, so its natural that there are more SEED kits than Destiny kits. If Destiny gets a anniversary, I'd say we'd probably see some new MG line ups, something like Gaia, Chaos and Abyss akin to the GAT-X MG line up (also hence why there's a Strike RM).
Not quite sure how they're gonna do a Destiny RM since the current Destiny is still good for its age.

ReplyDeleteActually its that the whole head can become a mono-eye unit as opposed to a gundam head. They replace the eyes.

DeleteIt does. They all have the similar/the same connectors which is why you can interchange back-packs.

Niche items such as this are the perfect kits for an exclusive *because* there will be less interest in it.
