There have already been numerous MG RX-78-2 over the years. Sure ver3.0 takes on a more popular rendition based on the statue version of RX-78-2 but in fact the ver2.0 is good enough as it is. 0 Gundam was a tribute to RX-78-2 but never released so no, I'm not drunk, it's only logical to release something that has not been released yet.
The 2.0 was not good enough. It was severely lacking in detail compared to the oyw. Also the rx-78 is always used as a the jumping point when introducing new elements too gunpla. It will be awhile before the O gundam is released since it's not a popular design like the rx. O.T.i laughed like crazy when I saw this because if suiton wants it he'll have too pay more for. Im kinda surprised he hasn't commentEd on it yet.
Whether or not the 2.0 "severely" lacks detail is subjective and boils down to how much panel lines you prefer on a model. I prefer clean Gunpla over pockmarked ones, so I think it's fine as it is.
But as much as I do want MG O Gundam, I don't see why it should've been released over 3.0.

Seed gets a ridiculous amount of portions lately. I agree with the hater somehow. Bandai should be fair in releasing their product. It seems they choose Seed as their golden boy. That's just not fair.
@ 8.49 it's never about being fair. For Gunpla, Bandai must pick the right series that can bring in more money so that they can have a bigger budget for the next line up. Seed is just one of japan's fav series and Gunpla main market is Japan, not the WESTERN countries. So they do have to feed their main customers demands.
