By seeing the picture of the prototype I don't think Bandai will put all of the Strike's Real and Master Grade upgrades in this High Grade but they just upgrade the waist, Aile Striker's wings, leg, knee and elbow joints.
So this new Strike HG will not have a openable cockpit, Grand Slam sword and even the Armor Schniders so that Bandai maintain can a cheap price tag.

Dude, the way I see it, this is the first nail on the HGCE coffin. The moment Bandai announced this, they pretty much signed a contract that says they have to make all the other Gundams from Seed as part of HGUC in the future. It seems to indicate that they will eventually include every Gundam series in this line, like they've already started to do with Future Century, After War and After Colony. Or at least the ones whose model kit lines are pretty dated, seeing how Age and even early 00 are still pretty contemporary engineering-wise. That's how I see it anyway.
I've been holding out on getting a base Strike forever due to its current problems. Happy its getting redone. Now i can remake my Noir and finish my main-unit collection.
General questions- What accessories will it come with? I assume since it has the Aile, it will come with beam sabers as well. Aside from the rifle and shield, will it come with the Schneiders or the Grand Slam?
Will this be December's release since Wing Fenice, Sengoku Astray, and Bearguy 3 are all coming out November if I recall?
Will old striker packs work on it or will there be a new system to adhere to?
Will there be shoulder grooves for the old striker packs or Noir shoulder addons to fit into?

I doubt it will have the grand slam and I'm not sure about the schneiders. It's supposed to come out in February. Don't know about backwards compatibility with old striker packs but if the Build Strikes' Build Booster is any indicator, I 'd say yes. Don't know what to say about the shoulder grooves for striker packs, and I'd guess the shoulders would just get remolded into the Noir design.
