  1. "Which ones do you like the most?"
    None.

On a side note, there's now way too many releases for the RX-78-2.

Come on Bandai. Enough is enough.

    1. Insert "Patrick Bateman With an Axe" picture meme with a caption: "You hate RX-78-2?"

    2. in terms of design and proportion, I prefer MG rx-78-2 ver 2.0 and OYW.
but there are many custom build rx-78-2 out there that looks way better than stock one.

nevertheless, I agree, enough is ENOUGH.
I was born on '80, the same year as grandaddy gundam. I've seen too many rx-78-2, seriously.
even I have a motorized rx-78-2 toys when I was 4 or 5yo. the one that can walk and rotate its waist. it was waay awesome back then

the reason why bandai continuosly remake rx-78-2 is not about respect or targeting older fanbase,
it's because rx-78-2 is the SIMPLEST gundam out there.
simple shape, simple backpack, simple weaponry.

    3. And what about people who are born in 90? what about people who just start collecting in 2013? Gundam NEVER BELONG to your generation only.

    4. Actually this one is much, much better than those Gundams that just keep spamming rainbow colored beams, with unnecessary "wings" shaped attachment on their backpacks (wouldn't those "wings" just made them heavier, since the main thruster is at the bottom of the backpack?)

    5. to the anon who said what about the new generation
that 1/1 oughta do the job.
seriously, they don't need a new kit every year to remind them, RX78-2 is already everywhere.

it's not about respect or not,
a new kit or not, i already know every thing i need to about the legend already.

    6. Are the old generation are always this selfish and egoist? What makes you the one with right to decide for anyone else? Just because you have the 10 year old kit, then everyone else should buy the same exact thing?

Now i understand why Bandai chose kids as their new target audience.

    7. Just STFU. Do you doesnt like RX 78-2? You are never real gundam fans

RX 78-2 is prime suit, its like Optimus Prime. The one, the first and the best

      Screw your Seed and 00

  2. Heathen. Rx-78-2 is the granddaddy Gundam without it there would be no other kits. So show some respect.

  3. 1/1, because it holds the most significant value.

  4. Hmmmm....I've built the 2.0, the Ver. KA, the G3 2.0...which isn't any different from the regular one that much...speaking of which I see a G3 3.0 down the line in the near future...I know I've built one more...as I desperately search my shelves to find it...but I can't remember it off the top of my head..whatever...I haven't built the 3.0 as of yet...

But so far my favorite is the Ver. Ka...not for build quality or anything...just because it's a very good redesign and I love it so...the 2.0 is pretty cool and so is the G3...but I find myself looking at the Ver. Ka a lot more than I do the 2.0s....maybe the 3.0 will change my mind because what I've seen of it so far impresses me very much so....

    Anyways...answer is Ver. Ka...

  5. MG 3.0 with O.Y.W. chest vents. That's my ideal RX-78-2.

  7. The GFT version or Evolve version, can't pick either, cause their designs are awesome beyond words.

    1. Evolve version is awesome? Its weird and design is really out the place.

    2. Out of place eh? Ever heard about opinion?
I already know the designs took a very radical changes, and that's why I like it. Just because you dislike/hate it doesn't mean others should.

    3. i don't mind the evolve version, though i find its scheme more akin to what i would see in 00 (it also has some influence from seed too, but its not obvious).

even then its a new take on an old design that i happen to like.

  8. I've been looking for something like this. Thanks GG! Should be stickied.

  9. Now do one of Zeta!

  10. MG 2.0 is the most the most screen accurate and most faithful to the original design. That's how I like it.

  12. What is the RX-78-2 in Row 4 Column 2? It looks so damn sexy.

  13. My favourite version are ver OYW followed by Robot Damashii but with both having darker blue on their body.

  14. I have the GFF versions, the G30th, HG and RG versions and I've gotta say, the RG one is my favourite.

This is mostly down to the head design, where it's not stumpy like the HGUCs and has nice details unlike the GFF. But the clonky RG hands always seems to big.

Design wise, the HCM Pro and the Ver Ka are my favourites.

  15. To the people who keeps mouthing off to stop releasing designs for the RX-78-2, who the fuck do you think you are to keep imposing on such things? Bandai will keep on releasing those kits whether you like it or not. Don't want it? Don't buy it. Simple as that.

Those kits had been Bandai's bread and butter for the last 30 years or so. The RX-78-2 has been the basis and testbed for all frame designs. That's the problem with the people in the West (and a couple of dumb fans in the East), you're all fucking ignoramuses to the point of annoyance.
