New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Frozen Teardrop (新機動戦記ガンダムW Frozen Teardrop Shin Kidō Senki Gundam W Frozen Teardrop?) is a novel
that takes place approximately 20-30 years after the events of the New Mobile
Report Gundam Wing television series and Endless Waltz OVA and movie in the new
"Mars Century" or "MC" era. The novel, written by Gundam
Wing head writer Katsuyuki Sumisawa, began serialization in Gundam Ace in
August of 2010. The first two collected tankobon volumes were released in
February of 2011, as well as a Drama CD featuring Hikaru Midorikawa and Seki
Toshihiko packaged with that month's Gundam Ace.

I bet its the same body as the EW wing zero (Since the EW starters and their upgrades don't have a different design just new weapons and colors) with a new type of buster rifle and a new backpack (6 angel wings maybe? <____<) and of course the zero system 2.0

ReplyDeletewell if you watch the end of endless waltz you can see that Wing Zero isnt 100% destroyed. or Snow white could be following the same design route that Prometheus has and has almost the exact same head as its predecessor, and a different body.

ReplyDeleteYou know, If Bandai was smart...... (yeah I just realized what I said). They could turn this into an anime or OVA like Unicorn and bring it to the states. This is one of the series that could re-ignite the Gundam franchise enough to bring Bandai back to the states. Plus I would love to see the same work and detail they have done with unicorn with this series of books as well.

DeleteBandai's main focus was and will always be Japan, where UC rules supreme and makes several times the cash any other AU series makes.
DeleteNot to mention that even if they did an OVA of Frozen Teardrop there would inevitably be complains that they changed things. That and this thing is nowhere near as well written as Unicorn. It's going on 8 volumes and still nowhere near over while at that point Unicorn was entering its end stage.
If Bandai was smart, they would order Sumizawa to stop writing and pretend this piece of shit novel never existed. The only thing an anime version of this would "ignite" would be even more hatred for Gundam Wing than already exists among people who think it's brain-dead fluff designed to appeal solely to yaoi fans. You could probably get a better sequel by having a monkey slap a keyboard for a week straight.
DeleteLOL, but yeah I have to agree Frozen Teardrop is pretty bad. Animating it is akin to animating another Destiny except in the Wing universe.
DeleteThe wings are slightly different and the blue is missing from the face. So this is either Snow White or a badly drawn Wing Zero Custom. More than likely it's just Zero.

the only difference I see in the snow white suit currently is the head and the addition of a cloak but for more to be seen thts cloak need to be off :/
ReplyDeleteI really hope that bandai makes a new design for the snow white just like it did with prometheus. That suit is reaaaally looking good, and for what I see in the picture, the suit itself may be different yet it has the exact same TBR as wing zero.
