A Tour of the Bandai Hobby Center in Shizuoka City

A Tour of the Bandai Hobby Center in Shizuoka City
A writer from Amiami was invited to take a tour around Bandai's facility and got to see a lot of great things. I would love to take a walk around there one day, too.

    2. If he have a budget to get a passport, visa & money to go to Japan, then he can go there and complain.
      Sadly, he's penniless :))

    3. He probably thought this place is also the place where Bandai decides about licenses for BluRay, where they make the Robot Spirits and where they have secret meeting about which kit needs remastering.

  3. I saw some V2 Gundam parts, does this hint some news that a MG V2 is on the way?

    1. I don't think so, that runner seemed to be from the old 1/144 (or it was 1/100?) V2 kit.

    2. More like they wanted to show off their double-injection capabilities.

    1. Erm, being part of the EFSF, you're likely to be Bright slapped if you make mistakes.

  5. The only problem I see with these pictures is that I'm not the one taking them :). I'd love to be able to go on a tour like this.

  7. This workplace is amazing, from the display sets, to the office area and then there's the details to make it look futuristic and Anaheim Electronic-ish. I'll be distracted all the time although once I wonder if your interests will wane since you're exposed to them every day, for hours. You'll be like "Ah god damn plastic Gundams and Zakus again..." as you CAD-CAM the thing at work and Gunpla at home, with your damn neighbors asking for updates and discounts.

I also like how the building is 18m too, almost as if to match RX-78-2's head height. Alas, I wish we saw something like "TOP SECRET PROJECT ROOM" in which there's a whole long line of prototype Gunpla, like the TR-6 Dandelion and FA MK-III.

  11. That is the coolest building ever. We have a hobby center in Norridge, IL, but it's doesn;t have near as much as the Bandai building.
