These are the Marasai hands. It's not getting the Nu hands because the design of them is specific to Federation mobile suits; expect Zeon style hands if a Sazabi Ver.Ka is released.
Overall, this seems really good, a bit plain of course since it's a grunt, but still very nice (IMHO, much better than previous grunt suits). Now if only we could get a MG Geara Doga Rezin Custom, even as an online exclusive... please?
Why do we need one at all. I mean (for once) Bandai made the model with standard and command equipment all in one so you can make it whichever. It comes with the command spike for the head and Rezin's rifle as well so all ya gotta do is paint it her color scheme as apposed to paying twice as much for blue plastic.
The rifles both look really thin. Almost AG in terms of flatness... Also they have no pegs in them it seems. I'm new to Zeon suits, with the sinanju being the only one I've built, does anyone know if the hands and the rifle designs are going to be a problem? I've been meaning to get this suit in hguc until this announcement came.
most probably the rifle-holding hand will be a solid piece and you need to interchange the fingers for different purposes. something like the hg. now before you think its lame for that, this kind of fingers is actually more solid than the ver 2.0 hand ( the one mg sinanju has), and most probably it will be like mg marasai where they give you 2 sets of hand so you can choose which to display.
So if it means its more stable then I'm glad I waited for this. You're right about the hands being a bit finicky. I build primarily HGUCs so I have no problem with interchanging hands. I normally keep them in one pose anyway. Since the price difference for this and the hguc isn't even double this thing's a win for me. Nu will have a shelf buddy soon.

Speaking of hands, those don't look like the "Nu" style hands (pun not intended) they look like the old Zaku 2.0 hands to me.

ReplyDeleteDon't worry about articulation. Bandai has gotten too good at engineering their kits for us to get unreasonable articulation in master grades anymore.
