As you can see above, the SEED HGs, remastered or not, are disproportionate, suffering from blocky short torso, seemingly short and chubby limbs, poor backpack representation and the worse of all, fat stubby feet.
The actual kit itself also has poor color separation and they give stickers, which doesn't work as good. For example my Duel Gundam Assault Shroud pieces came only in navy blue and they gave black and orange stickers to be placed on the chest. The curves means putting the stickers will give an ugly result.
In terms of articulation, there's no looking up for the heads, the shoulder don't move forward [Which is why the hobby magazine gave shoulder improvements], the chest are a block and the legs is as good as those in old HGUC, like Alex or S Gundam.
The Seed HGs got better by Stargazer but still nowhere near the accurate proportions and articulation of the 00 line. You have to put in a lot of work to get any of the old Seed HGs to look good.
Just curious, how bad were the original seed model kits? I never see people talk about them as much as the 00,HGUC,and AGE kits
