Gundam Unit 2 Banshee Destroy Mode (Clear Ver.) was once limited to Japanese
theaters

Bluefin, the
American distributor of Bandai's Gundam models, announced on Wednesday that a
small quantity of the limited-edition HGUC Unicorn Gundam Unit 2 Banshee
Destroy Mode (Clear Ver.) will be available at Otakon at the retail price of
US$30. The model kit was originally only available at the Japanese theatrical
release of Gundam Unicorn Episode 5 “The Black Unicorn.” However, a few were
allowed to be sold at America, starting with an unannounced batch at Anime Expo
earlier this month.
A screening
of the fifth Gundam UC episode will take place at Otakon on Saturday with
Michael Sinterniklaas and Tetsuya Kakihara — the English and Japanese voices of
the anime's Angelo Sauper — as guests. Otakon will run from July 27 to July 29
at the Baltimore Convention Center.
Wow, I didn't even know there WERE Gundam kit distributors in America.
