Well, if the shield was less (remotely) aerodynamic and more like the RX-78's, then you would have a point. Seeing as how the shield was purposefully made to be (again, remotely) aerodynamic (since the majority of MSs in the Gundam franchise--including transformable ones--are still bricks when flying in the air), the point isn't there so much. And if you want to mock the logic of an anime, why not go for the franchise itself? The concept of Mobile Suits as a effective military weapon on the ground and in space is ridiculous in and of itself. Why not go further and mock that?
In any case, WZ's transformation is still more stable than Zeta's (speaking of shields that can transform to jets, Anon...), ZZ's, or Victory's. If you don't like the transforming aspect of Okawara's Wing Zero, don't bother with it. If it's the entire design (or the anime it comes from), then don't bother buying it. That doesn't even require the effort to post the comment you made. You could've spent that time looking at whatever AGE/UC Gunpla news popping up that you like.
