Maybe fin funnels are for solo operations. I guess when attached, it acts as a support unit to the main Gundam so no need for extra mini funnels? It definately has enough weapons without the funnels... four sabers and 2 hand guns!
Not really thrilled by the Hand Gun (and thus the lack of an actual Beam Rifle) and the removal of the forearm-mounted Machine Gun (this thing has no solid ammunition weaponry... <_<), but everything else is pretty cool... And that's a rather large understatement.
Now all that's needed is a Bazooka (and/or a Machine Gun) and Amuro actually piloting it and then this'll be the coolest thing EVER... *Thinks for a second* ... Yeah, ever...

Then it looks like it has a support unit attached to it... that has 4 beam sabers and two mini beam hand guns.
When painting a kit like this and the pre-assembly how far do you break it down before paint? I am trying to make a custom of my own, but don't know how much I should put it together before painting.
