thank you, a sound minded fan, i don't see any problems with AGE so far, it's been an enjoyable gundam experience so far, I hate all this bickering between AU and UC and "one show loyalist" fans, I love all gundam, from the OYW all the way to AGE, only things i can't like is SEED and Destiny, too many mistakes made as shows, and the mecha is just blah to me. But despite that, I love the Astray stuff and the Stargazer stuff... just grow up butthurt fans

There's even 1 episode where AGE pays homage to 0083's 1st ep... the art style was intended for a younger audience and imo to polarise a lot of hardcore UC/AU fans who are used to getting their gundam the way THEY WANT...
Its this kind of ignorance of not having seen a show or work in its entirety and quickly pouring the hate cup because its the easy thing to do when you're doubtful uncertain or a skeptic about something you dont trust, unfamiliar or too left of field for your taste. i should know, im a massive skeptic for almost everything, turns out most of the time im wrong :(
I see the AGE-1 more as a homage to the Gundam MK-II, it may have the RX-78's color scheme, but it's design is more like the MK-II. Plus, that makes it all the more fitting to be a homage to the "Zeta area", which I'm kinda glad there's going to be something similar to the ZZ.
The AGE-1 can go both ways. It serves as the RX-78-2 in the first generation, and the MK-II in the second. Remember Asemu piloted the AGE-1 before the AGE-2. This is homage to Kamille piloting the AGE-1 before the AGE-2.
i really love how they retained AGE 1 in the Asemu Arc because like SEED and 00 before it, no more 1st gundam wasting!
Why not put a good ol trusty machine to good use, even if it is massively outdated in the next generation (exceptions are Strike Rouge, Strike E, Strike IWSP, Exia broken, Exia Repair, 00 Raiser Condenser Type AGE 1 and AGE Flat - no, not the FLAT from Turn A!)
I really hope they retain AGE 2 or Double bullet in some fashion in Kio's arc, i really miss how awsum and how limited the Titus and Sparrow appeared... T.T
At this point, all I want from Age is coming up a decent storyline (so far so good, at least for me) Thus as much as I think Age-3 looks like a downgrade from Age-2 Asethetics wise, I will buy it if Sunrise is willing put forth some good efforts (consider Sunrise is doing multiple new anime for Spring season, hope they can manage)
hell yes, i was thinking Asemu or Kio was gonna get fu$$^%Y& up. But funnels makes protagonists really cheap and O'pd. Im so glad they made AGE 2 INFERIOR to Zeydra at least MS mode speed wise (G Strider is another story) Heck, even Flit kicked Asemu's butt with AGE 1
I'd like that idea if it wouldn't make Flit an old man... Maybe a fourth generation? ... <_< ... Or we could wait until we see exactly what happens in Generation 3.
well Gundams AGE-1 and 2 doesn't seem to be the type that are leagues apart from the standard mass produced MS much like what the Universal Century has. Pretty much the Gundams are the only things that go head to head with the Vagan's current MS technologies.
Another thought...what if AGE-3 splits into two units, the main frame/arms/legs and the core fighter? Just to review, ZZ converted into the Core Top, Neo-Core Fighter and Core-Base. Core Top could be piloted by Neo-Core or a separate cockpit. Core Base need a Neo-Core to be piloted.
According to the teaser photo, there appears to be two components: G-Sceptre and Core Fighter. Look at the blue 'triangle' protruding behind AGE-3's head--looks kind of like the 'cockpit' for the core fighter. Also, this would result in some interesting variations given the teasers for the A and B types. If this is truly the case, this would be reasonable departure from the ZZ design.
