it looks a tiny bit like the heavyarms, yes. but some parts like the shoulders or the head look different. and since they had the heavyarms on display at the show, anyway they wouldnt have to announce it like this^^
I don't this will actually be a series but a manga serialized in *shock* CoroCorro Magazine. It says "CoroCorro x Gundam Project" and the 2chan thread is saying the same thing except adding it's for kids.
The leg somehow make me remember the Hazel Gundam.A anime from Advanced of Zeta would be great, fan's can get more in depth story about the Titan & AEUG early years.
This gundam either has huge thick arms and shoulder pads, or its carrying big massive weapons on its back. Looks like a chunky gundam design unlike the slim-legged designs from the last 4 gundam animes, which indicate that if it is a new gundam series, it'l most likely be related to the UC timeline, or that they have hired the artists from that era to design the new gundams. Chances of it being a new anime seems unlikely though cos the announcement date of July means that there is little over 1.5 months for all the commercialisation, merchandising and advertising and wht not, that it seems unlikely its a new anime. I go with a new manga like one of u has said already :)
Call me crazy, but the head sculpt (as far as we can see it) the shoulders AND the leg armor is reminiscent of the Psyco gundam mk 3. Maybe that they are going to use that design and deliver us a model-kit ? (hoping yes since the psyco mk3 was a kick-ass boss in the battle master series)
From Moe Ota News Sokuhou comes a picture from what appears to be CoroCoro Comic stating the "CoroCoro x Gundam Project Begins" and "In July, you will witness the future." This picture should be from this weeks CoroCoro Comic and the July issue of CoroCoro comes out on June 15th. CoroCoro Comic is the magazine that runs Doraemon, Pokemon, and other stuff for young boys.
Am I the only person who thinks this silhouette looks remarkably like Gundam Maxter from G Gundam? HUGE shoulders, thin thigh area, giant calf armor. Quite frankly, I would love to see more of G Gundam, I thought it was one of the best and what with the whole G Gundam manga last year, it wouldn't seem too farfetched.
just saw the promo and i have to say im disappointed its not really gundam anymore... more like super robot wars, evangelion, and maybe robotech, and a bit of voltron if u remember theres moment similar with a "key", and i swear those "kid heros" get younger every time
Looks like Heavy Arms... Maybe just a MG announcement?

ReplyDeleteSay it is so..
ReplyDeleteHOREE SHEET if I'm not mistaken I think that's a Hazel Gundam from Advance of Zeta.
MG or TV series I'd be a happy camper, maybe that's why the keep pimping the AoZ models in the hobby mags these past few months :O

they could be releasing a new sereis for wing because they now have that novle for frozen tear and we now have al these MG ew versions coming out
ReplyDeleteWait, what if the new series IS AoZ?
ReplyDeleteLooks like the Katana...
ReplyDeletethose things on the shoulders look like twin drives.
ReplyDeleteYeah I see what looks like the 00's twin drives, though I doubt that's actually what it is

ReplyDeleteWell, I see twin drives as well.. But my hope is still not down.. I'm really hoping for a new series this year. It's about time T_T

ReplyDeleteAoZ??!!!! FTW
ReplyDeleteno point of putting this mecha on a silhouette if this is already a series we know of, this is definitely a new one

ReplyDeleteOO and Seed was announced around June-July but aired during October. So this still doesn't erase that it can be a new Gundam series
ReplyDeletemaybe the o.v.a series of gundam extreme

The picture doesn't look like Heavyarms EW. I heard from a friend that Advance of Zeta would be the new Gundam Anime. It'll be great if ever...
ReplyDeleteJust my 2 cents.
enough of OVA. Let's have a 50 episode all new Gundam series...
ReplyDeletethere still left "blue destiny" and "crossbone" to made into anime, if that's REALLY "advance of zeta" !

ReplyDeletego i hated ggundam... i didnt feel it was a real gundam series... more like a martial arts movie with big robots, not a good mobile suit gundam series
ReplyDeleteGod**
