The Viz Cinema theater in the San Francisco-based New People entertainment center has announced that it will show the first three episodes of the Gundam UC video anime series on April 2 and 3. Tickets to the first episode cost US$8, with showings of the second and third episodes priced at US$10. The schedule is as follows:
English-Subtitled
April 2
- Episode 1 - 1:00 p.m., Episode 2 - 2:30 p.m., Episode 3 - 4:00 p.m.
April 3
- Episode 1 - 5:30 p.m., Episode 2 - 7:00 p.m., Episode 3 - 8:30 p.m.
English-Dubbed
April 2
- Episode 1 - 5:30 p.m., Episode 2 - 7:00 p.m., Episode 3 - 8:30 p.m.
April 3
- Episode 1 - 1:00 p.m., Episode 2 - 2:30 p.m., Episode 3 - 4:00 p.m.
Additionally, all three episodes' Blu-ray Disc releases will be on sale at the center — a week early for the third episode, whose regular street date is April 7. Volume 1 will cost US$44.98 (regular price US$49.98), and volumes 2 and 3 will cost US$49.98 each (regular price US$59.98). The early copies of volume 3 at the special price will be available April 2 and 3 only.
Sunrise has also announced that Gundam UC's third episode is currently available on the PLAYSTATION Network after going live on March 18.
Viz Cinema will screen the live-action film Hula Girls three times on March 26, and all proceeds will be donated to Northern Japan Earthquake Relief Funds by the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California.
