Alas... my HG 1/144 Stark Jegan is completed. I've spent about 8 days working on this, mostly during the late evenings. I wanted to keep this kit simple, as I wanted to finish this kit rather quickly.... because I just wanted it so bad. After watching Gundam UC episode 1, I just fell in love with the Stark Jegan.
Is late now, so I am not gonna be wordy, and so... here is the final product:
For a quick and dirty job you still make it look fan-friggin-tastic compared to the stock model. Very nicely done. My only 2 cents would be to make any panel lines you add just a bit thicker to mesh with the ones already there.
ReplyDeletejust awesome, makes me wanna buy one (or work on the kits at hand, I damn should finish some of my projects - and so should You ;P )
ReplyDeleteI realy like the way you arrange those pics it's much much better than simple pic like I do.
one thing thou - wtf is "MOOSTER Unit" ?
The bullet shooting effect and the back pack blast are a nice custom touch!
ReplyDeletedamn love it just love it. i especially like da last pic looks amazing hope i can reach ur level someday
ReplyDeletedefinitely much much better than robot damashi =D

awesome! one of the most beautifully presented WIPs i've ever seen. great model! lose the thruster and weapons effects too! amazingly done!
ReplyDeleteAwesome modelling G.G despite finishing it in such short time. Superb posing and photography. The blend of pics from anime simply makes it magazine. Just like browsing Hobby Japan bro! This is totally cool! Like it even more when it's Stark Jegan! I'm overwhelm with emotions!
ReplyDeletenice job dude.. where did you get those info.. wonder how do you do the smoke effect of the missile launch from bazooka..
ReplyDeleteOk man, so when are you publishing your own GG hobby magazine sign me up!! Great work in such a short time!
ReplyDeleteMina-san, arigato!! (Thanks everyone!!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the nice comments. There's definitely things that I could've / should've done to make this kit look better. But I just want to get this one done fast, and 8 days is record breaking time for me.
And here to address some of your comments/questions:
@MoogeDee: Yes Sir, I shall improve my panel line for my next kit!
@Tonzo: You're welcome!
@Aulon: I am sure your backlog is just as long as mine. We need to hustle. LOL Your new Exia is looking to be your best effort yet. btw..MOOSTER is an upgrade to the BOOSTER.
@Busterbeam: I sure hope you mean "love" instead of "lose". LOL
@Dennis: I finally built my own poor man lightbox for photoshooting this time. We are GM type kinda guys.
@Seven: The info I got was jacked from MAHQ, the source of detail Gundam descriptions. The smoke effects are made using both epoxy putty & polyester putty, and using airbrush to spray paint it. As for the booster effect, I cut out a piece of clear pla-plate in the shape of the effect, then paint on a coat of clear blue, and then white on top of it.
Wow! 8 days with such a cool result! I always think that Stark Jegan have a lot of plain surface on him..but you manage to give a lot of custom details on that plain surface :D
ReplyDeletevery nice photos and presentation too!
now that's an awesome job on the Stark Jegan amigo. Really clean lines.
ReplyDeleteGreat work and nice presentation! Very easy to understand and appreciate your work! XD
ReplyDeletehey gundam guy, just wondering how u made that realistic smoke trail for rocket?
ReplyDeleteHi there, nice pics. Mind if I ask what you used there for the background in Jegan-AP-1-final? Like how it makes it look like the kit's still parked in a MS hangar.
