I believe the Type F is the whole shebang, the RG kit with the parts all in the correct color to make it. The normal Astrea parts kit can use a lot of the base RG Exia kit since it's the same color scheme.
But still, having to buy 3 RG Exias to make normal, Repair I and Astrea is pretty smart of Bandai to get those sales up. More if they decide to release the R2 and R3 parts.
Given the prices, I'm assuming this is like when they did Strike Rouge IWSP- an RG core with HG parts added on. So Type F will of course have the amount of overkill weapons we saw in its initial HG release while the White one will simply be a parts set with a few new weapons to mod an off the shelf RG Exia.
i suppose the type f is not a conversion kit but a complete kit itself.. judging by the price. since a conversion kit would result in a runner full of spare of exia's white armor.
also.. note that they did not use the phrase "part set" for the type F.. and it would probably include the HG weapon set of the type F cause they love recycling moulds.. result- more expensive kit. hmm..
The Type-F is a mobile suit unit and Astraea is just an add-on parts. The RG line now just like the Robot Tamashii line so many Online Exclusive add on parts set
Has anybody thought about just boycotting P-Bandai? Spread the word to stop buying this stuff. I think this is a negative result from the recent gunpla boom. On the one, we are now getting more, better models, based on Gundam's popularity, but the downside to this, is that Bandai took notice and decided to exploit their customers by offering these online exclusives, hoping to capitalize on the more hardcore collectors while completely overlooking the more casual ones who might still be interested in these alternate designs, which tend to get made into online exclusives.
Bandai does not care about its overseas market. They have made this more than clear by their recent actions. Not just talking about P-Bandai, how they manage their foreign market is quite pathetic in every possible way. Boycotting won't do a damn thing, unless the Japs did it, but they have no need to.
You can't be serious. Don't you realize P-bandai target make is Japan and a few other Asia countries. Also P-bandai offers kits that have a very low demand by the public. These two kits should be P-bandai kits otherwise it would be a was of a regular release slot for this year.
Yeah, I'm getting really tired of almost everything being made an "exclusive" just to cash-in on it. Some of these things I'd buy instantly if was normally available.
That's dumb, the P Online serves customers directly by allowing them to get the item directly. We should petition for Bandai to open up the online shop to other markets other than Asia so we have access to them to.
The only difference between normal and P Online releases, for the areas where you can directly order without middleman, is losing the retailer discount. They don't exploit anyone it just sucks no one outside Asia can directly order.
This p-bandai hating happend just because bandai limit it service for Japan only. Make the service worldwide and they will like it. And what purpose for boycotting P-Bandai? Their market target not for us outside Japan, but for domestic market which is Japan itself.
I thought about boycotting the P-Bandai line. But I think doing that will cause more issues since the retailers like GG Infinite who sell them will stop carrying them, and then hardcore fans will either not be able to buy them or hope that someone on eBay will sell it at a relatively good price since we know that most sellers on eBay and Amazon that sell GunPla price gouge quite a lot.
And I think we are all forgetting the GunPla as it is, is marketed towards the Japanese consumer living in Japan. I know that sounds stupid against Bandai in terms of doing business since GunPla these days is a big, international hit around the world...but it's just what they do.
Although I am annoyed that so many of these things are P-Bandai and I'll end up buying them anyway, I just wish that they weren't so expensive compared to the YEN asking price. But I'm still glad that US based stores carry the P-Bandai kits.
Does it say anywhere that RG Astraea is just the upgrade parts only (kinda like Repair 1) and that RG Astraea Type F will be a whole kit? Also, does it mention anywhere that this will have the Type F2 variation included like the HG did?
I think this basically confirms that Bandai is probably going to release a Repair 2 parts set, Repair 3 parts 3, Avalanche Dash parts set, and then a Deactive Mode Exia kit.
So then how many times are they reusing the RG Exia mold? I think this is cool, but crazy too since if the Exia is being reused this many times, imagine what we will get with the RG 00 Gundam mold and the RG 00 Qan[t] mold...
The gray and white Exia is called Gundam Exia Roll Out Colors, not Deactive Mode. There's no Deactive Mode for the Gundams of the 00 series, only Roll Out Colors, Standard Colors and Trans-Am Mode.
Seriously Bandai, that is one dick move! I don't like the Fon himself but his MS was cool enough that it needs a separate release. However this P-Bandai release is insulting.
Pass...I already have both HG exia R2 and HG astraea, and its a parts set so that increase my resolve to not buying this, even RG Exia itself
ReplyDeletethis is deja vu..
DeleteI bet you saw that coming from a mile away
ReplyDeleteI knew it this would Happen!
ReplyDeleteoh this is going to be really really expensive -_- especially type f
ReplyDeleteWay hell expensive then average MG
DeleteNo! cant bandai just give these 2 a normal release??
ReplyDeleteSeriously?! Those two almost cost as much as the RG! And they're just ARMOR! Fucking P-Banshit!
ReplyDeleteType F will be sold as a complete kit instead of parts only, if I'm not mistaken

Learn how to read you fucking shit.
Deletecalm down anon. being an arse online hasnt helped anybody.
Deletefurthermore, if you did a bit of research perhaps you would realize that the original F type came with more accessories than the astraea proper.
They're gonna milk us with just like in the HG versions!
ReplyDeleteAstraea Type F is the whole set not armor...

Hope the type F comes with its full weapons set (GN hammer, GN Launcher, GN Proto sword, NGN Bazooka) and its signature masked face.
ReplyDeleteBut i doubt so.

DeleteWait, so if i want to make white astraea, which one i need? Need one standart rg exia or i need to buy astraea F too to make white version?
ReplyDeleteJust need RG Exia, their frame's color still same. Type F is whole kit because it brown-ish frame color.
DeleteSeriously Bandai, that is one dick move! I don't like the Fon himself but his MS was cool enough that it needs a separate release. However this P-Bandai release is insulting.
ReplyDeleteso wait type f is a whole kit and white is only add on parts?
ReplyDeleteYes, the red one (Type F) is an entire model kit, while the white one is just a part set to modify the existing Exia RG.
