ReplyDeleteI think the striker packs ought to be compatible. If not there will be alot of angry fans raging at bandai. Case in point, the mg gundam mkII 1.0's G-Defenser was compatible with the gundam mkII 2.0.
DeleteThat would be good since I have the IWSP and Noir Strikers...but I'd rather wait to see if they make a MG Perfect Strike using the new frame.
DeleteThey should be using the same connecting pegs as the others (the flat peg that slides into a slot) so u should be able to connect the old backpacks.
DeleteHope it will be like how you all had said it. But for the shoulder mount and arm mount (for the grapple in Sword Striker), I'm still not too sure whether will it fit.

Yea. I can notice that much as well, even though this is a prototype. I'm guessing Bandai used the data and molds from the MG Blitz, MG Duel, and MG Aegis to develop this. I expect a Skygrasper to get a similar treatment and come with the Sword and Launcher packs as well as the battery pieces to turn this into Perfect Strike.

ReplyDeleteI personally think Bandai will release the MG Skygrasper + Launcher&Striker Packs (which you can combine both packs with aile pack) instead of MG Perfect Strike.

Considering that the Skygrasper is missing only in the 1/100 scale, I'd say an MG of it along with the addition stuff would make it a perfect addition. Though I would prefer if they lumped it all in one package, can't complain if they do this either :)
DeleteTotal pass since I don't care for SEED at all, but I'm glad Bandai took the time to make this one look as good as the recent SEED MGs. The original Strike looked pretty awful, so this is welcome.
ReplyDeleteDunno if the inner frame is different but comparing this with pics of the old MG Aile Strike, it definitely looks like completely new armor.
ReplyDeleteThrusters in the shoulders, shorter side skirts, redesigned front skirts and ankle armor. Overall it's looking like its using more parts on all the leg and arm armor(more armor seperation). Waist armor and cockpit hatch also looks more detailed.
Bandai might not be calling it a 2.0 but it sure looks like one to me. Maybe they're dropping the 2.0 name/concept for something new/different
The face is more akin to the animation now.

looks good. the face doesnt look weird now that they reduced the length of the mouth vents. maybe they'll do a 2.0 freedom?

DeleteYou do realise people whining about the new strike are even worse, right? If the haters were to be believed you'd think they announced nothing new here (as opposed to several brand new MGs, a couple of new versions of popular suits, and a further showing of the much requested Tallgeese).
DeleteAnd last I checked the Strike is a very old kit, it may be decent but saying it compares to modern Master Grades in terms of details and so on is actually kind of laughable. It seems to me that some people are just being bitter that a certain series is getting attention over their precious favourites. Stop whining about it and ignore it if you don't like it, rather than just try and be depressing and annoying to those that are happy to see this.
Damn I just finished my PG strike kit and just started the aile pack set and also my MG aegis gundam/ dark hound is on its way so seeing a New MG strike kit that will match my Mg aegis so I'm a bit upset lol ill just have my MG Noir fight Aegis unless for the HD stargazer they will make both MG stargazer gundam and an update Strike noir MG lol

ReplyDeleteDefinitely new body from what I can see (inner-frame, armour, etc). The AILE pack seems to be a mixture of new and old. Judging out the whole pack is in proto-resin, I assume its new.
DeleteThe vernier vents looks like its going to be casted in different colour runners rather having it casted all in red like the old etc.

I don't mind the new feets, infact, they look more armour heavy.
